Job Description

In this position...
This is a high-impact IT delivery leadership position. As the Salesforce Implementation and Integration Lead for Ford Energy IT, you will drive both the functional delivery and the technical orchestration of our core sales and service platform.

In this role, you will be the recognized technical authority responsible for standing up Salesforce capabilities while ensuring they are seamlessly integrated into Ford Energy's broader enterprise ecosystem. You will drive the technical direction and engineering best practices across multiple IT and engineering teams, building architectural consensus for key integrations while actively mentoring peers to elevate collective technical capabilities. You will act as the bridge between business strategy and complex technical execution, coordinating closely with business leaders, managing our System Integrator (SI) partners, and collaborating with ERP and middleware teams to design and execute robust, real-time integration architectures.

What you'll do...

1. Functional Delivery & Business Alignment

Business Alignment: Coordinate with Sales and Service business leaders to translate customer journeys and operational workflows into scalable Salesforce requirements.

System Integrator (SI) Management: Serve as the primary technical lead coordinating external SIs, ensuring deliverables meet Ford’s standards for quality, timeline, and security.

Strategy & Policy: Interpret, administer, and execute IT policies and operational procedures for the Ford Energy Salesforce team, establishing performance standards and managing project budgets.

2. Integration Architecture & Systems Design

ERP & Systems Integration: Collaborate with ERP IT leads to design and implement robust integrations for critical data flows, serving as the prime advisor to senior IT leadership on integration roadmaps and capabilities.

Integration Architecture: Define and govern API strategies, data synchronization rules, and integration patterns using enterprise middleware.

3. Technical Governance & Release Management

Technical Governance: Enforce Salesforce best practices, prioritizing out-of-the-box configuration over custom code to minimize technical debt. Proactively identify, analyze, and mitigate fundamental technical and architectural risks across the platform.

Release Coordination & Operational Resilience: Oversee environment management, CI/CD deployment pipelines, and end-to-end testing across Salesforce and connected systems. Anticipate operational and delivery bottlenecks, developing preventative measures and system roll-back strategies to ensure zero disruption to core Sales and Service operations.

You'll have...

Required

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

IT Delivery Experience: 6+ years of experience in IT delivery, with a strong focus on enterprise software implementations and systems integration.

Salesforce Leadership: 3+ years of hands-on experience leading Salesforce implementations.

SI Coordination: Proven track record of managing and coordinating external System Integrator (SI) teams.

Integration Design: Extensive experience designing and coordinating Salesforce-to-ERP integrations.

Even better, you may have...

Leadership Attributes

Collaborative Orchestrator & Mentor: Skilled at driving alignment and building architectural consensus across multiple engineering and IT teams (Sales, Service, ERP, Middleware, Security, and external vendors), while actively mentoring and elevating the technical capabilities of peers

Systemic Thinker: Looks beyond individual applications to understand and optimize the entire end-to-end enterprise ecosystem.

Delivery-Focused Leader: Maintains a strong sense of urgency and ownership to ensure integrations and implementations are delivered on time, securely, and at scale.

Location & Travel

Location: Dearborn, MI. This position is hybrid-friendly for candidates with a proven ability to deliver results in a flexible environment.

Travel Expectations: Occasional travel may be required to support system deployments or vendor onsite sessions.
