Job Description

We are seeking new talent to join the Ford Credit Salesforce Production team where you will have the opportunity to collaborate in work specialising in automotive financial services.

Responsibilities: As a Release Manager, you will be responsible for building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure utilizing knowledge in Continuous Integration, Delivery, and Deployment (CI/CD), Cloud technologies, Container Orchestration, and Security. Build and test end-to-end CI/CD pipelines, ensuring that systems are safe against security threats. Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform. Responsible for team decisions. Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams. Advanced proficiency in Continuous Improvement Techniques is required. Advanced proficiency in Configuration & Release Management is recommended


Role Responsibilities

  • Implement automation tools for continuous integration and deployment processes
  • Lead the coordination and deployment of software products and solutions through the CI/CD processes across production and non-production environments - Jenkins
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system reliability and security
  • Conduct regular security assessments and implement necessary measures
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance project efficiency
  • Implement, patch and maintain the CI/CD toolset inline with corporate policy and industry best practices

The following technical skills and experience are essential for this role:

  • Setup, management and operation of end-to-end CI/CD across a Salesforce landscape including management of non-production environments
  • Programming and Scripting: Proficiency in automating tasks relevant to CI/CD and managing deployment pipelines
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Experience with CI/CD tools Jenkins to automate and streamline the software delivery process
  • Monitoring and Logging: Proficiency with monitoring tools to maintain system health and performance
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing CI/CD strategies to drive automation and efficiency across the DevOps lifecycle specifically using Jenkins.

The following technical skills and experience are beneficial but not essential for this role:

  • Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform for managing scalable and efficient systems
  • Containerization and Orchestration: Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for container management and orchestration (future state)

  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with development and operations teams to ensure smooth processes and communication
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines and project goals

  • Adaptability: Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and methodologies
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
