About the Role
The EHS-IT team supporting multiple Salesforce implementations within the Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EHS) is seeking a Salesforce Developer in the central Enterprise Applications Team. The person hired for this position should have application development experience supporting all phases of a Salesforce-based Enterprise Application including but not limited to: requirements, design, development, testing and implementation.This role requires a balance of administrative skills and hands-on development exposure with OmniStudio, Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and third-party integrations. The person hired will be working in a matrixed organizational structure in multiple projects at a time, interfacing with different roles within EHS-IT and corresponding business partners.

The primary work location for this role will be at 1 Enterprise Drive, Quincy, Massachusetts 02171. The work schedule for this position is Monday thru Friday, 8:00AM to 4:00PM EST. This position would be expected to follow a hybrid model of reporting to work that combines in-office workdays and work from home days as needed.The developer is expected to occasionally travel to satellite offices within the Commonwealth of MA.
Responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
1-2 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
Basic Apex programming skills with a solid understanding of SOQL and SOSL query languages including governor limit awareness.
Familiarity with Public Sector Solutions (Grants Management, Case Management, etc).
Knowledge of OmniStudio components and ability to build and troubleshoot subsystems.
Experience developing within Lightning Experience including Lightning Web Components (LWC) development patterns and component lifecycle.
Understanding of the Salesforce security model including profiles, permission sets, roles, etc.
Hands-on work with Salesforce deployment tools such as Change Sets, VS Code with Salesforce extensions, or SFDX/SF CLI for metadata management and sandbox-to-production deployments.
Effective communication and collaboration skills; demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical audiences.
Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator.

Minimum Entrance Requirements:
Applicants must have (A) at least one (1) year of full-time or equivalent part-time professional or practical experience in information technology application development and support or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.
Substitutions:
I. An Associate’s degree or higher in a related field may be substituted for the required experience.
Salary placement is determined by a combination of factors, including the candidate’s years of directly related experience and education, and alignment with our internal compensation structure as set forth by the Human Resources Division’s Hiring Guidelines. For all bargaining unit positions (non-management), compensation is subject to the salary provisions outlined in the applicable collective bargaining agreement and will apply to placement within the appropriate salary range.
