Job Description

Introduction

As a Salesforce Developer, you’ll help shape and build scalable, future-proof Salesforce solutions that support the growth of the Postcode Lottery Group. Working with an international team, you’ll use your technical expertise and passion for Salesforce to create high-quality, impactful solutions. And every day at work, you’ll be doing your part for all the charities we support.

You will operate across the international CRM organisation and value streams, while your direct line management sits within the local country organisation.

This is an international role, which means occasional travel to other Postcode Lottery Group offices may be required.

As a Salesforce Developer, you’ll:

  • Design, build and maintain Salesforce solutions across our international Salesforce landscape (e.g. Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud).
  • Develop custom functionality using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Salesforce configuration where appropriate.
  • Build and maintain integrations using REST APIs, middleware and event-driven patterns.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, product owners and development teams on solution design, technical improvements and best practices.
  • Actively contribute to improving development standards, release processes and CI/CD pipelines within Salesforce.
  • Ensure scalability, performance, security and data quality across the platform, while supporting proofs of concept from idea to production.

You’d describe yourself as follows:

  • Bachelor’s degree or similar in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • You have strong hands-on knowledge of Salesforce development (Apex, LWC, Flows, integrations).
  • You understand Salesforce architecture, data models and security concepts.
  • You are comfortable working in an international, matrix organisation and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • You enjoy learning and continuously developing your skills — new Salesforce features don’t scare you.
  • Experience with CI/CD, DevOps tooling and version control (e.g. Git) is a strong plus.

    About the team

The Group Tech department is the backbone of the Postcode Lottery Group. As part of this team, you’ll help ensure all Lottery operations run smoothly and that our digital platforms continue to evolve. You’ll work closely with colleagues across countries and departments, as well as with external partners, to deliver reliable, secure and high‑quality IT solutions — with Salesforce as a critical platform in our ecosystem.

About Postcode Lottery Group

At the Postcode Lottery Group, our goal is to turn every home’s postcode into a ticket for good. We want everyone to have the chance to win prizes with their neighbours, while contributing each month to a healthier, fairer and greener world.

That’s what we call the Power of Postcodes.

The support of almost 15 million Postcode Lottery players in the Netherlands, Sweden, Great Britain, Germany and Norway already benefits more than 500 major charities. Thousands of local good causes receive funding too.

Their work is strengthening communities. Protecting nature. Investing in culture. Improving our health and well-being. Safeguarding human rights.

The Postcode Lottery Group’s mission is to raise long-term and flexible funding so charities can achieve the maximum impact.

Every day of the year, our players raise more than €2.5 million for good causes. In 2024, the total was €969 million. And since the first Postcode Lottery was launched in the Netherlands in 1989, more than €15 billion has been donated to charities.

The Postcode Lottery Group is a private company, fully owned by a non-profit foundation and headquartered in Amsterdam. We have been ranked as the third largest private donor in the world, following the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the Wellcome Trust. (World Charity Index, 2021).
