Job Description

NOV is seeking a driven and commercially focused Sales Manager / Business Development Manager – Downhole Technologies to accelerate growth across the CEMAC region. This role presents an exciting opportunity to lead business expansion efforts, strengthen strategic customer partnerships, and champion the deployment of NOV’s Downhole Technologies portfolio in a dynamic and competitive market.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute territory and account plans to meet revenue targets.
  • Identify new opportunities and expand business within existing customer accounts.
  • Build and maintain relationships with current and new customers.
  • Provide technical sales support, including presentations and product/application guidance.
  • Coordinate with operations and product lines to ensure job readiness, and customer support.
  • Prepare proposals, support tender submissions, and assist with pricing and contract discussions.
  • Track market activity and customer needs to support business planning.
  • Support customer trials and follow-up to drive repeat business.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, HSE standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain CRM records, forecasts, and regular sales reporting.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Required:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in oil & gas sales, business development, or related technical roles.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills.
  • Experience supporting tenders, proposals, and commercial processes.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to travel within the CEMAC region.

Preferred:

  • Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Existing industry experience preferred within the region.
  • Professional fluency in French and English.
