As a part of the Sales Team, the Trainee is to complete all tasks assigned by the Sales Manager, which may include conducting market research, identifying business opportunities, managing email campaigns, generating sales leads, making cold calls, participating in meetings, and assisting the Sales department wherever possible. Understanding of Market Segmentation in Sales will be covered during the tenure of the internship.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Attend to the general sales hotline and all incoming telephone calls within 3 rings
Preparing sales related documents throughout the sales process (e.g. Proposal, Contracts, Corporate Rate Letters, Proforma invoice)
Understands the systems and process of checking for the availability of guestrooms and event venues
Proficient in the application of systems; maintenance and management of database, including the updating of daily revenues
Communication and preparation of show room keys and checking of the show rooms preparation / consolidation of overseas sales call schedule / appointments for Sales team
Work on educational or familiarization groups in co-ordination with the Sales team
Preparation, requisition and stock control of collateral, printed material, stationery, corporate gifts and promotional items
Raising the sponsorship letters, vouchers and purchase requisition forms
Assist with the preparation of new products and services as directed and provide guests with information
Other duties as assigned by Director of Sales or the management.
