Job Description

You’ll be joining a growing, diverse team that’s currently disrupting the traditional way vehicles are auctioned. You’ll help foster relationships and deliver excellent outcomes with both sellers and collectors locally and internationally, developing long-lasting partnerships, whilst becoming part of the fabric of a fast-moving, innovative company.

The Sales Team Leader will oversee the day-to-day performance of the Consignment Team ensuring excellence throughout the entire auction process.

In this role, you will lead by example, maintaining a personal portfolio of high-value consignments and hitting individual revenue targets to stay sharp and relevant in the market. Simultaneously, you will empower a high-performing team of Consignment Specialists, providing the tactical coaching, strategic oversight, and performance management necessary to scale our auction volume.

The Gearbox:

  • Lead and inspire a team of Consignment Specialists to meet and exceed collective volume and revenue targets.
  • Conduct weekly 1:1s and quarterly reviews, using data-driven insights to provide actionable feedback on conversion rates and listing quality.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to improve team efficiency and maximise the lifecycle of every auction.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex client negotiations and high-stakes listing disputes
  • Maintain a personal pipeline of high-value, consignments, serving as a benchmark for the team.
  • Consistently meet or exceed individual revenue and acquisition quotas.
  • Stay ahead of market trends and valuation shifts to provide expert-level guidance to both clients and the internal team.
  • Lead the training for new hires, ensuring deep fluency in internal systems & auction mechanics.
  • Work closely with Marketing and Operations to streamline the consignment-to-auction pipeline and enhance the user experience.

  • Foster a high-energy, collaborative environment that celebrates wins and views challenges as learning opportunities.
  • Provide senior leadership with regular reports on team KPIs, market sentiment, and process bottlenecks.
  • Identify and advocate for tool or workflow improvements that reduce friction for both specialists and consignors.
