Your challenges

As part of the Sales Zone team, the Sales Team Leader plays a central role in the sales coaching, coordination and monitoring of sales activities of the team in parallel of his/her Account Manager responsibility or KAM responsibility (% sales team leading activities/% to manage their own territory/KAM responsibility in proportion to team size).


Collaboration with Automation Product & Application Manager, Key Account Manager, Inside Sales Manager and other Matrix functions is key.

Sales leadership activities

• Establish sales targets for the team with head of sales

• Coach and lead team members to improve sales efficiency, harmonized sales approach (complex sales training) and implement effective accounts planning to achieve long-term success

• Participate to the recruitment, training, and mentoring new sales team members to enhance their skills and performance

• Track the sales team’s performance and providing feedback to ensure goals are met

• Coordinate sales activities (Account planning review, funnel monitoring,…) and strategies to drive growth performance

• Review/approve direct offers (E365 approval) to ensure consistency with company pricing guidelines

• Accompany team members in the field and participate to complex sales negotiation if required

•Support the sales director in implementing the Group/Area/Zone strategy

Account Manager Tasks:

• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients in assigned territory or assigned Key Accounts

• Develop strategic account plans to meet client needs and achieve business goals

• Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products or services to existing clients

• Address and resolve client issues promptly to maintain satisfaction and support team on this aspect.

• Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profit while meeting client needs

• Prepare and present account status reports to clients and internal stakeholders

• Work with internal teams, such as KAM, Automation Product & Application Manager, Customer Care and customer service, to ensure client needs are met

• Keeping up-to-date with market trends and competitor activities to provide clients with relevant insights

Combined Role Focus:

• Balance high-level strategic planning with hands-on client management.

• Lead and mentor the sales team while also managing territory or key accounts.

• Ensure that both team performance and client satisfaction are prioritized.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sciences, Engineering, or related subject, preferably with Life Sciences focus

  • Demonstrated sales record successes and good customer relationships records

  • Proven experience in strategic sales and team management/coaching is required (ideally more than 5 years)

  • Ability to motivate and manage a team, set goals, and ensure they are met.

  • Clear and effective communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders.

  • Developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve targets.

  • Mastery of various sales techniques and methodologies. Strong persuasion and negotiation skills.
