Part Time - Sales Support Specialist!

Rate $22.00 Hourly

GENERAL PURPOSE

Provide administrative and operational support directly to a sales team to assist in achieving sales targets. Collaborate with the sales team to ensure the timely and accurate processing of sales-related tasks. Coordinate activities between the sales representatives, customers, and various internal departments. Support the successful implementation of new accounts and ongoing account service to customers.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and document all quote, proposal, submission, or contract information as directed in designated system, ensuring information is properly updated to reflect all account activity
  • Perform required follow ups to ensure timely completion of quotes and delivery of proposals
  • Remarket renewals, contact customers, create renewal proposals, and handle other renewal activities in coordination with sales
  • Complete all necessary paperwork, ensuring proper signatures, and provide completed paperwork to appropriate group within established timeframes
  • Maintain organized records of leads, sales activities, customer interactions (inbound or outbound), and communications in designated system, ensuring information is accurate, comprehensive, and up to date
  • Liaise with other departments or escalate to supervisor to address customer concerns and ensure effective problem resolution
  • Assist in creating sales reports (customer inquiries, sales trends, customer complaints, delivery or service problems, reasons for product returns, etc.), forecasts, and performance analyses for the sales team
  • Assist in lead generation and qualification activities, such as data research and prospecting. Call out on prospect lists to assess interest in products and/or services and forward all leads to the sales team
  • Participate in sales meetings, providing updates on sales status, customer feedback, and other relevant information
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop marketing content to support sales staff
  • Support order processing and management if appropriate. Process sales orders accurately; coordinate fulfillment, shipping, and delivery to meet customer expectations; monitor the order status and provide regular updates to customers and the sales team; and handle order changes, cancellations, and returns, ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Maintain updated knowledge of the company's products and services to address customer inquiries effectively

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 to 2 years of sales support, customer service, or related experience
  • Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office Suite and company specific systems
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing for a diverse range of internal and external audiences
  • Able to handle challenging or conflict situations with tact and professionalism
  • Able to work with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Able to provide quality deliverables on time
  • Able to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
  • Able to follow directions and meet deadlines
  • Able to work independently and in a team-oriented collaborative environment
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
