The Sales Support Representative serves as the primary inbound contact for clients and leads, delivering high-quality client success support and sales enablement to help retain customers and drive revenue. This hands-on role qualifies inbound leads, handles client inquiries, supports outside sales with quotes and order processing, and ensures smooth handoffs and excellent client experience.

Key Roles / Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound phone calls, emails, and web inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Qualifying inbound leads: gather contact details, needs, timeline, budget, and buying readiness; record and update CRM entries.
  • Route qualified leads to outside sales with clear handoff notes and follow-up tasks.
  • Support outside sales: prepare quotes/proposals, assist with order entry, track contract and fulfillment status.
  • Manage client issues (billing, product questions, returns, scheduling); resolve or escalate according to guidelines.
  • Conduct onboarding tasks and follow-ups to ensure timely time-to-value for new clients.
  • Maintain accurate CRM and ticket records; document interactions and next steps.
  • Follow up on outstanding quotes, renewals, and service requests to advance opportunities.
  • Contribute client feedback and suggestions to product, operations, and sales teams.

Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • 2+ years in client success, customer service, inside sales, or sales support.
  • Strong phone presence and clear verbal/written communication.
  • Experience qualifying leads and supporting sales workflows.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, MS Dynamics or similar) and MS Office/Google Workspace.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, able to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Customer-focused, team-oriented, and comfortable working cross-functionally.
  • Experience in B2B environments or supporting outside sales teams – Preferred
  • Familiarity with quoting/order-entry tools and basic contract/admin processes - Preferred

Working Conditions:

  • Prolonged periods sitting, standing and walking.
  • Must be able to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Must be able to complete tasks even with frequent interruptions.
  • Must be able to use discretion and independent judgment as needed.
  • Must be able to speak clearly on the phone and to fellow workers.
