In thisroleyouare responsible fordeterminingthe cost and sales price for pump parts. You use your technical knowledge and insight for this. In this role you work together with various departments within FlowserveAPACor our other locations.
Responsibilities:
Assessing the quotation request in our quotation system.
Quote for Pump AM requests like spare parts,SPIRand upgrades.
Collecting and assessing the technical specifications (drawings, material specifications, history, etc.).
Prepare proposals in a fast-paced environment, owning pricing components and technical review
Manage multiple concurrent proposals throughout the entire bid cycle, from opportunityinceptionthrough fulfillment kickoff
If more information isrequired, answer questions from the sales department and/or customer.
Determiningthe cost and sales price. Supporting various internal systems,your technicalknowledge and insight, and quotations from suppliers.
If necessary, investigating an alternative in collaboration with other departments• Collaborating with other departments, such as the sales department, engineeringdepartmentand planning department.
Answering incoming questions or ensuring that these are passed on to the right people within our organization.
Interact with customers / Sales / Operaonson technical issues andaend queries.
Achieve On-timeperformance for Proposal submission
Ensure SAP approval before Order receipt
Ensure compliance to update proposal log onatimelybasis.
Adhere to Flowserve Values, Business Ethics & Code of Conduct.
Support off-site customer project presentations and kickoff meetings
Follow all current procedures and policies related to the order acquisition process and provide feedback on the process
Perform technical reviews of all customer inquiry related documents while addressing all relevant commercial constraints for the project
Preferred Skills:
Bachelor of Engineering in mechanicalwith1-2 yearin Com-op orany relevantInternal experienceinan industrial equipment manufacturer (preferable in Pumps & Valves background) is a plusor suitable certificate course of highly Experience candidate.
Knowledge of centrifugal pumps and/or rotating equipment, material specifications, metallurgy, inventory control, estimatingknowledgeand a general understanding of the sales cycle is a plus.
Deep knowledge of main IT application tools,proficiencyin MS Office packages (Excel, Power Point) &ERP is a plus
Excellent communication skillsbothwritten and verbal.
Strongproblem-solvingskills, able to work independently and be a Team Player with an international mindset and approach.
Ability tomultitaskefficiently and set priorities in afast-pacedenvironment.
