About West State Electrics:

West State Electrics has been installing solar and battery systems across Western Australia for more than 15 years, with over 20,000 installations completed. We are a WA owned and operated company covering residential, commercial, and off-grid solar solutions. As our team continues to grow, we are looking for a dedicated Sales Support Officer to work closely with our sales team and help drive our quoting process forward.

About the Role:

This is a full-time, remote Sales Support role supporting our residential, commercial, and off grid solar sales team. You will be the link between initial customer enquiries and a completed, accurate quotation — following up with clients, building quotes in our quoting software (Solar Plus), and helping move opportunities through our CRM towards a close.
This role suits someone with genuine sales experience, strong follow-up discipline, and the confidence to create urgency and help close deals — not just an administrative quoting position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow up with prospective clients via phone, email, and CRM tasks to keep opportunities moving through the sales pipeline.
• Build accurate residential, commercial, and off-grid solar quotations using Solar Plus.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate client records and pipeline stages within the CRM.
• Proactively contact clients who have received a quote to answer questions, address objections, and create urgency to move them towards a decision.
• Work closely with the wider sales team to prioritize leads and ensure no opportunity falls through the cracks.
• Communicate clearly and confidently with Australian clients across phone, email, and messaging.
• Learn and stay across our product range (Sigenergy, Goodwe, Fronius, Trina, AIKO) well enough to answer general client questions.

What We're Looking For:

• Proven sales experience, ideally with a track record of closing deals or moving prospects through a sales pipeline.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills — this is essential, as the role involves direct client contact.
• Comfortable and confident using a CRM system to manage leads and follow-ups.
• Solid working knowledge of basic Windows programs (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Self-motivated and able to pick up new software — Solar Plus can largely be self-taught, and full training will also be provided.
• Highly organized, with strong follow-up discipline and attention to detail.
• Experience in solar, electrical, or a related industry is an advantage but not essential.

Training & Support:

Full training will be provided on our CRM, sales process, and product range. Solar Plus quoting software is intuitive and can largely be self-taught, supported by guidance from our team.

Role Details:

• Full-time, ongoing position for the right candidate.
• Focus split across residential (primary), commercial, and off-grid solar.
• Working hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm AWST (1 hour lunch break), aligned with the Perth sales team.
• 3-month probation period applies
