Job Description

The Sales Intern will provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to the Sales Team, gaining hands-on exposure to wholesale processes, showroom operations, and seasonal market execution. This role is ideal for a senior college student or recent graduate with relevant retail or fashion experience who is eager to build a career in sales, wholesale, or merchandising.

The position involves processing a high volume of sales orders, supporting showroom and market preparation, maintaining accurate inventory and pricing information, and assisting with reporting and cross-functional sales coordination. The Sales Intern will also play a key role in supporting Sales Market Weeks (4x annually), contributing to both pre-market preparation and on-the-ground execution.

Responsibilities

Order Management & Operations:

  • Enter and process sales orders in BlueCherry and/or NuOrder
  • Maintain order accuracy by sending confirmations to clients and internal teams
  • Monitor, track, and follow up on special orders and outstanding requests
  • Verify stock orders for accuracy and communicate any discrepancies
  • Process customer returns and exchanges
  • Support ongoing order entry and wholesale account maintenance

Showroom & Market Support:

  • Assist Sales Team with seasonal Market Weeks (4x per year, approx. 2 weeks each)
  • Support market preparation including linesheet management (printing, saving, organizing)
  • Assist with model dressing and showroom set-up during market appointments
  • Manage showroom calendar and coordinate appointment details with the sales team
  • Provide post-market support including pulling and sending order confirmations
  • Assist with general sample management (packing, unpacking, hangers, organization)

Sales & Marketing Tools:

  • Support updates to product information on JOOR and NuOrder
  • Assist in creating and maintaining wholesale selling tools including PowerPoint decks, buy books, and selling aids
  • Provide product copy details and styling guidelines to wholesale partners
  • Support general trunk show and event tool preparation

Ongoing Sales Support:

  • Conduct weekly web checks to ensure product and content accuracy
  • Respond to image requests and ad hoc sales support needs
  • Assist in general event planning and execution support as needed
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth communication and follow-through

Desired Background

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 1–2+ years of relevant experience in retail, showroom, fashion, or customer-facing sales environment preferred
  • Senior-year students or recent graduates strongly encouraged to apply

Base Pay Range

  • The base pay range for this position in New York City is $18.00 per hour; base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, and location.
