The Position:
The Sales Support Coordinator - Equilibar supports Equilibar's sales process by maintaining regular communication with prospective and existing customers throughout the quoting and purchasing process. Working closely with Applications Engineers, this position is responsible for following up on quotations, understanding where customer opportunities stand, identifying factors affecting purchasing decisions, and ensuring customers receive timely information and support.
This role serves as a primary point of contact for commercial follow-up activities, helping maintain visibility into active opportunities while providing outstanding customer service. Success in this position requires strong communication skills, organization, persistence, and the ability to manage multiple customer opportunities while maintaining accurate records and consistent follow-up.
Success in this role will be measured by increased quote-to-order conversion, consistent and timely follow-up with customers, improved visibility into the status of active quotes and sales opportunities and maintaining accurate documentation of customer conversations and next steps. Performance will also be evaluated by the number of customer follow-up calls and emails completed, the reactivation of inactive customers, and the ability to ensure opportunities continue progressing through the sales process.
Key Responsibilities
•      Customer Opportunity & Quote Follow Up: Follow up with customers on active quotations to determine the status of projects, purchasing decisions, and expected order timing. Maintain regular communication through phone calls and email to ensure opportunities remain active, answer commercial questions, and coordinate additional support when needed. Document customer feedback, expected timelines, and agreed-upon next steps within the company's sales tracking system.
•      Opportunity Tracking & Status Updates: Maintain accurate records for active customer opportunities by documenting customer conversations, project status, anticipated purchase dates, and factors affecting purchasing decisions. Identify opportunities that have stalled and communicate status updates to Applications Engineers and Sales to help determine appropriate follow-up actions.
- Inactive Customer Follow-Up & Prospecting Support: Contact inactive customers to understand changes in their purchasing activity and identify opportunities for future business. Assist in researching companies with applications similar to successful customer projects and support outbound outreach efforts through phone calls, email, and business research to generate new quoting opportunities.
- Sales Administration: Maintain organized customer records, follow-up schedules, and activity logs within the sales tracking systems. Monitor open quotations, ensure follow-up activities are completed on schedule, and assist with maintaining an accurate and organized sales pipeline.
Preferred

Qualifications:
- Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in inside sales, customer service, sales support, business development, or technical sales support within a business-to-business environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable making outbound customer phone calls and sending follow-up emails.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple customer opportunities simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping.
- Ability to learn technical products and communicate effectively with customers and internal engineering teams.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and general business software.
- Experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, or engineered products.
- Familiarity with customer opportunity tracking software.
- Experience using LinkedIn or other business research tools.
- Experience working with OEMs, distributors, or industrial customers.
- Experience with customer quote follow up.
