Job Description

The Sales Support Associate plays a key role assisting Sales Consultants with answering phone calls, scheduling loaners and delivery appointments, preparing required documents and greeting Sales Consultant’s guests that visit the dealership. This person will also schedule port installed options, perform product demonstrations, vehicle test drive and selection, service and parts overview, inspect vehicles prior to delivery for quality control, and assist with vehicle delivery to customer including handling of delivery paperwork.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer and retrieve telephone message for assigned sales consultant
  • Assist sales customers with service appointments
  • Schedule loaners for sales & service customers
  • Manage vehicle loaners (check availability, reserve vehicles, and obtains proper paperwork)
  • Meet and greet sales customers in absence of sales consultant
  • Schedule port installed options, echomaster, and tint installation with VPC and outside vendors
  • Update of DealerTrack reports, prospects, pending deals and sold units
  • Assist sales with picking up vehicle for deliveries, as needed
  • Manage key inventory by sorting and pulling keys for other locations when car is sold
  • Check that all accessories are installed per customer’s specifications
  • Quality inspect vehicle before delivery to ensure vehicle is in excellent delivery condition with all options installed and gas tank fueled
  • Prepare VPC vehicle transfer sheets for the car carrier
  • Maintain sales consultant ‘s office and monitor loaner/sold unit keys
  • Call customers when license plates arrive and assist with license plate installation
  • Assist with parts, get ready forms and purchase orders

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum six months of customer service work experience
  • Automotive sales or service experience preferred
  • Excellent customer relations skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • DealerTrack knowledge preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Ability to operate standard and automatic transmission for a variety of sizes of vehicles
  • Must be customer focused and practice active listening skills
  • Detail oriented, organized, with good follow-through
  • Must be a self-started and able to multi-task
