  1. THE ROLE

This role involves managing a sales team and taking accountability for its performance and budget. It also requires close coordination with other functions and countries to optimize processes and drive business growth, along with a strong focus on people development. In addition, the role includes handling other ad hoc tasks as assigned by the manager.

  1. WORK RELATIONSHIP
  • Internal: Head Office, Reginal Office, Customer care, Finance, Logistics & Operations, CMA CGM Agencies.
  • External: Customer and partners.
  1. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and direct the salesforce.
  • Coach and inspire sales team to enhance performance, capabilities and professionalism.
  • Determine the salesforce effectiveness and performance through KPI measurement.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and plans.
  • Assess and evaluate key customers’ shipping needs and requirements, to monitor that the customers are appropriately covered and serviced by the assigned salesperson and to take action to address deviations.
  • Identify new business potential for sales team to develop into profitable growth businesses.
  • Organize and participate in joint sales visits for customers and involve in negotiation with customers to achieve desired results.
  • Work with the market/trade on planning and implementing sales and pricing strategies.
  • Service existing accounts through telephone calls, sales visits and related rapport building program.
  • Develop and secure new profitable accounts by managing and working together with the sales force.
  • Promote VAS products.
  • Drive Sales force to achieve cross selling budget.
  • Optimize the deployment of human resources by securing businesses that meet the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Conduct sales staff appraisal through performance management plans, to formulate, implement and achieve desired results.
  • Travel and visit customers outside office and depot when required.
  1. QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFILE
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, international business or similar.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as sales supervisor in shipping line, logistics, freight forwarder or similar positions.
  • Fluent in both Khmer and English.
  • Experience in Microsoft office, shipping line system and booking system.
  • Good problem-solving skills, result-oriented with deadlines, and a can-do attitude mind-set.
  • Possess strong communication and strong stakeholder management skills.
