Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Managing commercial business opportunities from qualification through to a contract award in accordance with applicable norms
  • Manage Sales team and inputs from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, marketing, product teams, finance, commercial, legal and delivery
  • Risk analysis and management throughout the bid process
  • Preparing and reviewing the commercial aspects of the bid/offer, ensuring all services are included in the final price to the customer
  • Contributing to the written proposal - both in terms of content and presentation
  • Supervision over customer documentation in the offer phase
  • Supervision over customer deadlines with maintaining internal KPIs and internal reporting
  • Plans and manage the Bid budget
  • Understand and resolve technical, business and strategic issues
  • P&L preparation
  • Comply with the environmental, safety and health requirements set out in the legislation and regulations related to our activities and products, as well as those MASS requirements established by the community, our clients and others to which we are subscribed.

Education and Experience:

  • Higher education / Technical Economical directional
  • Proven capability in winning complex opportunities
  • Conversant with competitive marketplace
  • Experience in bids, sales and ideally project management (preferable)
  • Sound commercial understanding
  • Leadership and management experience
  • Ideally Electrical and mechanical knowledge in the transportation industry preferable in Rolling Stock

Skill / Knowledge:

  • Showing proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrating previous exposure to contracts and an understanding of basic contract language
  • Understanding of standard logistic and customs flow
  • ERP knowledge
  • Fluent written and spoken English (preferable)
  • Analytical and mathematical skills
  • Time management skills
  • Travels may sometimes required
