Job Description

Under the general direction of and reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, primary duties are to execute the marketing and sales plans at the branch locations of large multi-branch and national accounts, execute strategic initiatives to engage the top professional end users and develop and execute strategic marketing and sales plans for small traditional and hardware channel accounts and within their assigned markets to capture market share, grow sales and build strong relationships.

This role is part of Milwaukee Tool’s Leadership Development Program (LDP), which is designed to identify and develop high-potential leaders by providing a comprehensive view of the business through challenging experiences, exposure to strategic projects, and ongoing mentorship. The program aims to prepare participants to take on greater responsibility and leadership positions within the organization in the medium and long term.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage in-store inventory execution by ensuring shelves, displays, and promotional areas are fully stocked, organized, and aligned with brand standards.
  • Maintain clean, updated, and impactful product displays, ensuring all merchandising materials, signage, and planograms are current and properly executed.
  • Execute counter days and store events, including product demonstrations, customer engagement, setup of banners, tents, displays, and other event materials.
  • Identify in-store conversion opportunities by engaging customers, demonstrating product advantages, and supporting the transition from competitor products to Milwaukee solutions.
  • Drive expansion of product lines and increase in-store real estate by recommending new SKUs, additional displays, and strategic placement opportunities.
  • Implement cross-merchandising strategies across assigned stores to improve product visibility, create solution-based selling opportunities, and increase customer attachment sales.
  • Prepare suggested orders based on inventory levels, sales trends, promotional activity, and store needs, while tracking sell-through and replenishment opportunities.
  • Actively sell on the store floor by engaging customers, understanding their needs, recommending the right solutions, and helping convert interest into sales.
  • Accompany the distributor’s sales representatives on visits to end users and contractors, providing technical and commercial support while strengthening the brand’s value proposition.
  • Develop and execute penetration plans for key end users by identifying replacement, standardization, and portfolio growth opportunities.
  • Conduct technical product demonstrations in the field, application testing, and training sessions for end users, contractors, and commercial teams.
  • Deliver training and coaching to the sales force.
  • Work closely with the distributor to plan commercial activities, customer visits, opportunity follow-up, and business closures.
  • Gather market intelligence, including competitor activity, pricing, market practices, substitute products, and end-user feedback.
  • Provide support in managing technical claims and after-sales service by coordinating with the appropriate internal teams.
  • Periodically report progress, activities, opportunities, and results.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in a technical field or engineering discipline required.
  • Previous experience in industrial environments and knowledge of tools and consumables is preferred.
  • Ability to understand end-user operational processes and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Strong ability to influence and collaborate effectively with the distributor’s sales team.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the role and meet the physical demands of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong business communication skills, broad business acumen, and market knowledge.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Availability to travel overnight up to 25% of the time. At least once a month.
  • Must be able to work weekends
  • English proficiency is preferred as well as local language. (Spanish, English, Dutch, Papiamento)
