We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Sales Specialist to join our team and play a key role in accelerating the growth of our automation portfolio across ANZ.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who combines technical expertise with commercial thinking and a genuine passion for customer outcomes. You’ll become a trusted technology champion across some of Siemens’ leading automation solutions, while working alongside talented sales, engineering, product and global teams to bring innovative solutions to life.

From SIMATIC PLCs and TIA Portal through to WinCC Unified, Industrial PCs, SITOP, HMI and edge-ready automation architectures, you’ll help customers understand what’s possible and support them on their journey towards more connected, intelligent and efficient operations.

Make an impact

You’ll take ownership of the growth and market development of your portfolio across Australia and New Zealand, identifying new opportunities and working closely with our sales teams, customers and partners to turn them into successful outcomes.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

• Develop and execute portfolio growth strategies aligned with Siemens Digital Industries' objectives.
• Identify emerging markets, industries, customers, partners and opportunities for growth.
• Act as a subject matter expert and technology champion across Siemens automation solutions.
• Provide technical and commercial guidance on key customer opportunities.
• Lead customer presentations, workshops, demonstrations and technology briefings.
• Build strong relationships with customers, OEMs, system integrators, consultants and channel partners.
• Support opportunities from initial engagement through to successful award.
• Work with Application Engineering teams on proof-of-concepts, demonstrations and customer solutions.
• Develop compelling value propositions, sales collateral, playbooks and success stories.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer needs to help shape our local strategy.
• Collaborate with Product Management and our APAC and global portfolio teams to support product launches and new technology adoption.

You’ll work across diverse industries including manufacturing, food and beverage, mining, water, infrastructure, energy, transportation, data centres and machine building, giving you exposure to a broad range of customers, technologies and challenges.

We’re looking for someone with a strong technical foundation in industrial automation who enjoys working with people and turning technology into meaningful customer outcomes.

You’ll ideally bring:

• A degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Computer Engineering, Industrial Technology or a related discipline.
• Experience in industrial automation, control systems, digitalisation or a related technology environment.
• Strong knowledge of PLC, HMI, industrial networking, SCADA or associated technologies.
• The ability to engage confidently with both technical and commercial stakeholders.
• Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills.
• A commercial mindset and experience supporting sales growth and customer engagement.
• A collaborative, proactive approach and the ability to build trusted relationships.

Experience with SIMATIC PLCs, TIA Portal, WinCC Unified, Industrial PCs, industrial networking, industrial cybersecurity, machine automation, OEM solutions, Digital Twin or Industrial AI would be highly regarded.
