The Role: Two Worlds, One Job

This is not a standard sales role, and it’s not a typical project role either. It’s a unique combination where you operate as both a Channel Specialist and a Project Account Manager within the commercial buildings sector.

You will work on some of the most exciting buildings in the Netherlands: hospitals, data centers, hotels, distribution centers, and offices. Your mission: make these buildings smart, safe, and sustainable.

What will you do as a Channel Specialist?

  • Build and strengthen relationships with panel builders in the commercial building sector
  • Inspire customers with the latest ABB technologies
  • Win deals through cross-selling: power distribution, building automation, EV charging solutions
  • Engage ABB specialists early in customer projects to maximize impact
  • Build a strong network across all levels within customer organizations

What will you do as a Project Account Manager?

  • Manage complex projects end-to-end: from quotation to delivery
  • Stay in control of budget, planning, and risks — you are the captain
  • Act as a trusted advisor and sparring partner for customers
  • Bring together internal teams: sales, engineering, product management, and external partners
  • Translate technological innovations into practical project solutions

Who are you?

You are ambitious, energetic, and think beyond the task at hand. You combine technical insight with commercial drive and know how to influence people — from customers at the table to engineers behind the drawings. You take ownership, show initiative, and spot opportunities others might miss.

You recognize yourself in this:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s level thinking (preferably technical) — you think big
  • 3–5 years of experience in a commercial project environment (commercial buildings, installation technology, or electrical engineering)
  • Fluent in Dutch and English — communication is your strength
  • Commercially sharp and results-driven — you close deals
  • Proactive, independent, and strong in stakeholder management
  • Driver’s license (B) — flexible and always on the move
  • Eager to learn, ambitious, and ready for the next step in your career
