With 92 years of history, Harkins Theatres is looking for a Senior Sales Specialist to be an active leader, coordinating daily and ad hoc strategies to handle, respond to, and convert leads. Accountable for personal volume and email inquiries. Seeks proactive sales in their market, with DOS to handle all day-to-day activities, focusing on building long-term, value-based customer relationships to achieve sales objectives and drive repeat guest potential.

What You Will Be Doing:
• Responds to unique inbound and non-repeat customer sales inquiries from website lead generation and email opportunities as assigned. Seeks additional potential group clients and customers seeking theatre event space, private screenings, meetings, field trips, IMAX programs, birthday parties, food and beverage services, unique spaces (Freezer, patio, BackLot), and other events.
• Proactively solicits potential clients and customers and develops sales plans, actions, and strategies to meet or exceed established goals
• Plans and executes solicitation efforts (approximately 75% Proactive Solicitation, 25% reactive).
• Revenue leader for the Proactive sales team
• Plans and contracts with groups to achieve the annual sales objectives.
• Leads process training for the sales specialist team.
• Audits event documents to ensure data integrity.
• Strategizes with the team and proposes packages or other options in order to increase the sales revenue per event.
• Assists with preparing sales reports and analysis, which includes compiling monthly revenue reports for each vertical area (Freezer, gaming, 4Wall, Rentals, Birthday parties).
• Accurately keeps Tripleseat records/events/bookings up to date and all notes and details in place
• Close events timely (TPS) and follow department standards. Ensures the team is doing the same
• Identifies the appropriate option for the guest requests for selling the theatre space and pricing.
• Develops relationships within the community and personal group contacts to strengthen and expand the customer base for increased sales opportunities.
• Attends local networking events as applicable
• Identifies new business opportunities to achieve personal and team revenue goals, including developing creative ways to drive sales each day.
• Understands the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply, and demand etc. and knows how to present Harkins’ value.
• Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (i.e., generating proposals, writing contracts, customer correspondence). Partners with operations department, all appropriate departments, and theatres to ensure all details of the event are communicated.
• Regular attendance and physical presence at the work site.
• Requires typing on a computer, reaching, stretching, lifting to 20 pounds, carrying, pushing, pulling, interacting with others, speaking on the telephone, problem solving, and cognitive skills.

What We Are Looking For:
• Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years’ experience in sales development, or a related sales support function.
• Excellent prospecting, resourcefulness, communication, presentation, guest service and networking skills.
• Movie theatre/FEC experience a plus.
• Training/mentoring experience.
• Able to work independently as well as with a team.
• Self-starter, fast learner with a can-do spirit.
• Professional demeanor and impeccable integrity.
• High sense of urgency and innate sales talent.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Experience dealing directly with small to mid-sized, local business owners and decision makers.
• Able to focus and navigate aggressive deadlines.
• Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Publisher, PowerPoint, Access, and Internet research. SalesForce experience a plus.
