OF ROLE

The Senior Sales Manager – MICE & Corporate Sales is responsible for driving Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events (MICE) business by proactively securing corporate meetings, conferences, incentive groups, product launches, executive retreats and social events. The role also carries a secondary corporate sales mandate, developing negotiated corporate accounts and transient business relationships to support NoMad Singapore's overall commercial performance.

Working closely with the Director of Sales, Events, Revenue Management and operational teams, this role develops strategic client relationships while maximising revenue across guestrooms, meeting spaces, catering and Food & Beverage offerings to position NoMad Singapore as a leading luxury lifestyle destination for both events and business travel.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The main responsibilities of the Senior Sales Manager – MICE & Corporate Sales– MICE & Corporate Sales are summarised below; however, the list is not exhaustive.

MICE SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT (Primary Focus)

• Identify, develop and secure new MICE opportunities across corporate, association, agency and government sectors.

• Proactively target meeting planners, event agencies, destination management companies (DMCs), professional conference organisers (PCOs) and corporate event buyers.

• Conduct sales calls, networking events, presentations and site inspections to promote NoMad Singapore's event facilities.

• Generate new business across meetings, conferences, incentive groups, executive retreats, product launches and corporate functions.

• Develop tailored proposals that maximise guestrooms, meeting room and catering revenue.

• Represent the hotel at trade shows, MICE exhibitions, roadshows and industry networking events.

CORPORATE SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT (Secondary Focus)

• Identify, develop and secure new corporate accounts across local, regional and international markets, complementing the MICE pipeline.

• Manage a portfolio of key corporate clients and business partners, negotiating preferred corporate rate agreements and annual contracts.

• Build relationships with corporate travel buyers, procurement teams and decision-makers to support transient room revenue.

• Identify opportunities to convert transient business into long-term contracted accounts and, where relevant, into recurring MICE business.

ACCOUNT & EVENT MANAGEMENT

• Build strong relationships with meeting planners, event organisers and corporate clients.

• Conduct detailed needs analysis and recommend customised event solutions.

• Manage the sales process from enquiry through contract confirmation.

• Coordinate pre-event planning meetings with clients and internal departments.

• Ensure accurate communication of event requirements to Events Operations, Culinary and operational teams.

• Manage RFP Submissions and Participate in Annual Corporate Account Negotiations

• Welcome key clients and organisers during major events where appropriate.

SALES STRATEGY & REVENUE OPTIMISATION

• Achieve MICE revenue targets across guestrooms, meeting facilities and catering.

• Achieve individual corporate account production and room revenue targets.

• Maximise conversion of enquiries into confirmed business.

• Collaborate with Revenue Management to optimise group pricing and inventory allocation.

• Monitor competitor activity, market trends and business travel intelligence relevant to both MICE and corporate segments.

• Develop strategies to increase repeat group business and long-term client partnerships.

COLLABORATION & COORDINATION

• Work closely with the Events team to ensure seamless handover of confirmed business.

• Collaborate with Reservations, Front Office and Revenue Management to ensure seamless handling of corporate transient business.

• Collaborate with Food & Beverage, Culinary, Front Office and Operations teams to ensure successful event execution.

• Partner with Marketing on campaigns targeting corporate meetings, event organisers and the corporate travel market.

• Support hotel showcases, familiarisation trips and client appreciation events.

ADMINISTRATION & REPORTING

• Maintain accurate records of leads, proposals, contracts and event pipelines, as well as corporate account production reports within the CRM system.

• Prepare weekly sales reports, revenue forecasts and conversion analysis.

• Track enquiry sources, booking pace and production performance.

• Ensure all contracts and event documentation comply with hotel policies.

GUEST EXPERIENCE & BRAND REPRESENTATION

• Represent NoMad Singapore with professionalism, confidence and creativity.

• Deliver personalised service throughout the client journey.

• Build lasting relationships that generate repeat meetings and event business and corporate account loyalty

• Position NoMad Singapore as the preferred luxury lifestyle destination for intimate meetings and bespoke events.

EXPECTATIONS

The Senior Sales Manager – MICE & Corporate Sales is expected to:

• Demonstrate exceptional business development and consultative selling skills.

• Build strong relationships with event planners and corporate organisers.

• Manage multiple enquiries and projects simultaneously.

• Take ownership of MICE revenue targets and conversion performance.

• Communicate effectively across departments to ensure flawless event execution.

• Uphold NoMad brand standards and service philosophy.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing or a related field.

• Minimum 3–5 years of hotel sales experience, with a strong focus on MICE Sales and working exposure to Corporate Sales

• Proven experience handling meetings, conferences, incentive groups and corporate events.

• Established relationships with corporate meeting planners, event agencies, DMCs or PCOs are highly advantageous, an existing corporate client network is a plus.

• Strong knowledge of event planning, group contracts and catering sales.

• Excellent negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills.

• Strong organisational and project management abilities.

• Experience with CRM systems, Delphi FDC, and Microsoft Office applications is preferred.

• Previous luxury or lifestyle hotel experience is advantageous.
