Sales Representative, Foodservice
Miami, Florida | $60,000 - $80,000 USD + Performance Bonus
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for a driven and resourceful Sales Representative to spearhead the company's entry into the Miami foodservice market. This is a brand new position with no existing customer base, offering the right candidate the opportunity to build a territory from scratch.
Reporting to the Operations Manager with a dotted-line relationship to the Sales Manager, the role requires a self-starter with deep industry knowledge, strong prospecting skills, and the tenacity to develop and grow new accounts. Travel is required, and a valid driver's license is essential. This position is open to candidates currently based in Miami and visa sponsorship is not available.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify, prospect, and develop new foodservice accounts across the Miami market, including hotels, restaurants, bars, and food retail
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for all account needs
- Present and promote the company's product range to potential and existing clients through regular sales calls and client visits
- Develop a deep understanding of client needs and match them with the right product solutions from the company's portfolio
- Collaborate with the operations and warehouse team to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment for all accounts
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and client feedback to identify new opportunities and refine sales approach
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline, and account performance, reporting regularly to management
- Represent the company professionally at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions within the Miami market
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience within the foodservice industry, OR minimum 5 years of culinary experience with a strong understanding of foodservice operations
- Associate's degree required; a Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, or a related field is an advantage
- Proven ability to prospect, develop, and grow a sales territory from the ground up
- Strong knowledge of the Miami foodservice market and an existing network within the industry is highly desirable
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a territory with minimal supervision
- Valid driver's license required; must be comfortable with regular travel within the Miami area
- Must be currently based in Miami; visa sponsorship is not available for this role

- Salary: $60,000 to $80,000 USD per annum, plus a performance-based bonus.
