ABOUT THE ROLE Our client, an established sauces and marinades manufacturer in Marlboro, Johannesburg, is looking for a motivated and energetic Sales Representative to drive sales growth, build strong customer relationships and expand its market presence within an allocated territory. The ideal candidate is target-driven, customer-focused and passionate about sales in the food manufacturing industry. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ▪ Manage and grow an allocated sales territory. ▪ Build and maintain strong relationships with store owners and key decision-makers. ▪ Increase sales and product penetration within existing customer accounts. ▪ Identify and secure new business opportunities and customer accounts. ▪ Promote and sell the full sauces and marinades product range. ▪ Conduct regular customer visits and plan routes effectively. ▪ Present promotions, pricing initiatives and new product launches. ▪ Monitor competitor activity and market trends. ▪ Maintain an active sales pipeline and prospect database. ▪ Achieve sales, growth and activity targets. ▪ Provide customers with product knowledge and support. ▪ Resolve customer queries professionally and efficiently. Requirements MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS ▪ Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent qualification. ▪ Valid driver's licence. ▪ Previous sales or customer service experience. ▪ At least 3 years' experience in the food industry (preferred). ▪ Fluent in English and Afrikaans. ▪ Able to travel within the designated sales territory. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE ▪ Experience in the sauce, condiments or food manufacturing industry. ▪ Experience serving Muslim community markets, halaal-focused retailers or Islamic organisations. ▪ A proven track record in sales growth and relationship management.
