The Retail Sales Representative is responsible for driving profitable sales growth within the retail sector by identifying new business opportunities, developing strong customer relationships, presenting appropriate technical solutions, and closing sales effectively. The role requires a strong sales mindset, solid technical capability, and the ability to understand customer needs and convert opportunities into sustainable business. The successful candidate must demonstrate a proven sales track record, strong commercial awareness, and the ability to deliver against agreed targets while maintaining high levels of customer service and professionalism.
Sales Target Achievement
Achievement of agreed monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets, including revenue, gross profit and volume objectives.
New Business Development
Number and value of new customers secured, new opportunities created and successful conversion of prospects within the retail sector.
Sales Pipeline Management
Accurate and up-to-date pipeline tracking, consistent follow-up on opportunities, and reliable sales forecasting through the agreed CRM or reporting system.
Customer Retention and Growth
Retention of existing customers, growth of assigned accounts, increased share of wallet and effective relationship management with key retail decision-makers.
Technical Solution Selling
Ability to present appropriate product, equipment or service solutions, conduct effective demonstrations or trials, and support customers with technically sound recommendations.
Sales Activity and Reporting
Completion of required customer visits, prospecting activities, sales reports, call plans and follow-up actions within agreed timelines.
