Job Description

Umpqua Dairy is looking for Sales Representative in our Salem Division. The Sales Representative will assist the sales and distribution activities, that includes the role of supporting the sales team, generate new business and maintaining sales relationships with existing customers. The Sales Representative will be responsible for growing sales, gaining new business and supporting any customer service needs that may arise. Sales Representatives must demonstrate knowledge of products within Umpqua Dairy’s portfolio and demonstrate the ability to sell those products to both existing and potential new customers.

Salary Range $70,000-$80,000 DOE

Essential Functions:

• Maintain customer relationships with existing customers.
• Knowledge of products both current and new, both manufactured and Product for Resale.
• Make calls to existing customers with the purpose of growing sales.
• Maintain Umpqua’s shelf space in existing stores and apply Point of Sales material, where applicable.
• Execute cold sales calls with the purpose of obtaining new business and growing sales.
• Communicate with the Sales and Operations Manager, Route Supervisor and Route Driver any concerns regarding customer relations, product line, product quality, prices, delivery times/dates and other related product features.
• Monitor ad activity and secure additional ad product placement.
• Conduct retail price surveys and submit to the corporate office in Roseburg.
• Answer and return phone calls, emails, faxes, and correspondence in a timely manner.
• Read work orders/load sheets and follow-up on any issues.
• Help with special deliveries to cover out-of-stock, load errors and extra demands of the customer.
• Operate a Company vehicle and observe all driving laws.
• Assist with Dairy and Ice Cream resets.
• Assist Branch Manager with collection of AR payments.
• Supervise Pre-Writer/Merchandisers
• Other duties as assigned
