General Information

Job Title: Sales Representative/Territory Manager

Department: LivaNova International

Reports to (Job Title): Sales Manager/National Sales Manager

Job Purpose

Functional responsibility:

Leads, manages, coordinates the LivaNova strategy and contributes to the success of the business in the assigned country/geography. Has the strategic vision on how to develop the LivaNova business in the assigned Region(s).

This position will provide excellent sales and service to end users for the CS and HV, NM products for LivaNova. Responsible for projecting and achieving sales targets in units and revenue within assigned territories. Will evaluate the market continuously; report market conditions; and evaluate and recommend appropriate strategies for the territory.

Major Accountabilities

  • Develop and actively maintain in-depth technical understanding of LivaNova products to enable effective in-theatre support, programming and product demonstrations.
  • Compile required reports and customer presentations.
  • Manage territory expense budget.
  • Participate in surgical procedures.
  • Effective ongoing communication with all relevant customer contacts and internal colleagues to ensure the delivery of excellent customer service.
  • Formulate Territory Business Plan, including set objectives and strategies for each account, in line with the Divisional Business Plan.
  • Be competent in the understanding and delivery of the appropriate training packages to customers, and the ongoing maintenance of training requirements.
  • Achieve sales targets in units and revenue as well as price targets.
  • Achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in line with company objectives.
  • Evaluate market situation in assigned territory on a continuous basis and report market data and trends on a regular basis to management.
  • Propose sales targets and strategies to management on a regular basis and present written reports and recommendations.
  • Ensure that all sales and marketing activities are aligned with company compliance policy and are conducted within legal and ethical standards.
  • Project and maintain company image and presence within assigned territory with regular and frequent customer visits, presence at trade shows, surgeon visits, etc.
  • Propose & maintain consignment inventories consistent with company policies.
  • Provide timely monthly sales reports, expense reports, account profiles and other company reports as required.
  • Update the sales database on a continuous basis to maintain the reliability and validity of the data.

Ideal Background

Education

Bachelor's Degree (preferably life sciences or health related discipline

Languages

English: Fluency is a plus

Local language if applicable

Experience/Professional requirement

  • Medical Device industry experience is considered key for the role
  • Proven track record of demonstrating knowledge and understanding of compliance topics
  • Good track record in leading and energizing teams to develop and execute commercial growth plans in a matrix environment
  • Strong demonstrative customer focus
  • Proven strategic selling and marketing skills to achieve growth and sales targets
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills with excellent leadership ability
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills. Great influencing skills, with the ability to build trust
