Warehousing & Logistics Supervisor

Location: Vanderbijlpark, South Africa
Employment Type: Full‑Time

About the Role

We are looking for a hands‑on, holistic analytical Warehousing & Logistics Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, and the coordination of inbound and outbound logistics. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily warehouse activities: receiving, picking, packing, dispatching, and returns in own operated and 3rd party operated warehouses.
  • Ensure efficient warehouse layout, storage optimization, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inventory, matching physical x system, through cycle counts, stock takes, and variance investigations.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics with transporters, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Monitor delivery schedules, route planning, and turnaround times.
  • Lead and develop warehouse staff, ensuring performance, training, and compliance.
  • Enforce safety standards in line with company policies.
  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly operational reports and track KPIs.
  • Manage documentation including invoices, shipment and delivery records, and system transactions.

Minimum Requirements

  • 3–5 years’ experience in warehousing or logistics.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Strong working knowledge of WMS/ERP systems (SAP S4/Hana, Sage, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of South African logistics and transport regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience on Supply Chain and Logistics in industry, manufacturing, retail distribution, or high‑volume and multicultural environments.

  • Experience managing teams in a warehouse environment.

  • Holistic view on interface between Supply Chain, Finance and Sales activities.
  • Data driven with high attention to detail and accuracy.

Working Environment

  • Warehouse‑based role.
  • Regular interaction with transporters, suppliers, and internal departments.
  • Interface with teams in several locations worldwide.
