Hunt for new opportunities. Win new business. Build the future of Smart Infrastructure.

Siemens Smart Infrastructure is transforming the way cities operate, bringing together building automation, energy automation, and digital technologies to create smarter, safer, and more sustainable environments.

We are looking for a driven and commercially minded Sales Professional to join our team in either Melbourne or Sydney and play a key role in growing our business across the market.

This is first and foremost a new business sales role. We are looking for a hunter who thrives on identifying opportunities, opening doors, building new relationships, and turning prospects into customers. You’ll be expected to actively create your own pipeline, rather than simply manage an existing customer base.

With a mechanical, electrical, construction, building services or related technical background, you’ll understand the industry, speak the language of our customers and be able to identify where Siemens solutions can deliver genuine value.

As one of our Sales Professionals you will identify and pursue new business opportunities across your target markets, proactively prospecting for customers and developing relationships with key stakeholders including contractors, consultants, developers, building owners, and senior decision-makers. Take opportunities from prospecting and discovery through to negotiation and close, uncovering customer needs, developing compelling value propositions, and bringing together the right Siemens specialists to deliver winning solutions. Build and manage a strong opportunity pipeline, qualify prospects, develop strategies to win and ensure opportunities are actively progressed.

To be successful it is key that you work closely with our marketing, business units, specialist teams, and technical resources to target attractive market opportunities and develop campaigns that generate new demand. You’ll also engage directly with C-level and senior stakeholders, positioning Siemens as a strategic partner rather than simply a technology provider.

Alongside winning new business, you’ll continue to develop key customer relationships, identify opportunities to expand our presence and ensure a strong understanding of the market, competitors, and customer needs. Accurate forecasting, disciplined sales administration, and regular pipeline reviews will be an important part of your success.

We’re looking for an experienced sales professional who genuinely enjoys the hunt.

You may come from a background in electrical, construction, building services, energy, automation, or a related industry, with experience selling technical products, solutions, or services in a B2B environment.

Most importantly, you will be someone who:
Creates opportunities rather than waits for them.
Enjoys prospecting and opening new doors.
Builds strong relationships with new customers.
Has the commercial drive to win and close business.
Can navigate complex sales cycles and engage decision-makers at all levels.

You’ll be confident, resilient, and proactive, with the ability to understand customer challenges and translate them into commercially compelling solutions. You’ll also have the drive to build a pipeline today for the opportunities we want to win tomorrow.

Join a global technology leader at the forefront of the transformation of Australia’s infrastructure, working with an extensive portfolio of intelligent, sustainable, and digital solutions.

This is an opportunity to take your sales career to the next level — with the backing of a global organisation, market-leading technology, and a team of specialists behind you.

If you’re a hunter who loves finding the opportunity, opening the door, and winning the business, we want to hear from you.

Siemens are committed to ensuring our workplace reflects the communities in which we operate, that everyone has access to the same opportunities and is treated fairly, and that we actively empower the voices of every individual voice.

We strive to provide a safe working environment for each member of our diverse team and commit to continuously develop our ways of working on this journey. From our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan to our diverse cultural celebrations, LGBTQIA+ education and support to our gender equity initiatives, we strive to make our workplace an inclusive environment where every individual feels empowered and heard.
