Job Description

Are you ready to shape the future of advertising sales at one of the nation's leading media companies? Scripps is looking for a strategic, detail-oriented Media Planner to join our team in New York City. In this role, you'll play a key part in the pre-sales process, developing and managing linear sales proposals that align advertiser objectives with Scripps' revenue goals. You'll work closely with sales and cross-functional teams to create thoughtful, data-driven solutions that deliver results for clients while maximizing opportunities across our portfolio. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Build media plans for internal reporting and tracking.

  • Develop, revise and execute CTV media plans across the Scripps Networks portfolio

  • Build, revise and maintain sales proposals.

  • Assist in the compilation and enhancement of upfront and scatter planning: charts, RFP’s and etc.

  • Interact with Account Executive regarding proposed programming sponsorships & added-value initiatives.

  • Foster key relationships with clients and agency contacts.

  • Provide post summaries of account delivery and provide client correspondence as necessary.

  • Keepabreastofindustrynewsvia“trades”toincreaseandstrengthenknowledgeofpositionandgetageneral/broadunderstandingof what's going on in the industry.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • BS/BA in related discipline preferred or equivalent years of experience

  • Generally,3+yearsofexperienceinrelatedfieldpreferred

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Knowledge of the media terminology and procedures within advertising sale

  • Experience with FreeWheel a plus

  • Programmatic knowledge a plus

  • Strongunderstandingandabilitytoefficientlyperformdutiesfromthestarttofinishofthesalesproposalinanefforttoproperlymaintain and steward client schedules

  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team

  • Strong team player with ability and willingness to help guide or train others

  • Ability to multitask, while staying organized and detail- oriented

  • Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills

  • Understanding and experience with research sources

  • Understand the tactical and needs of our clients and internal goals of advertising sales department

COMPENSATION RANGE:

Annual Salary: $85,000.00 - 90000Pursuant to state and local salary transparency laws, the salary range posted is specific to candidates who will perform this work in New York.
