Job Description

Serves as the primary business stakeholder for the Oracle STARS - Vehicles application. Manages the creation and implementation of model year data that is the foundation of all Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA) vehicle transactions. Leads Sales Operations - Distribution team in addressing issues that arise in the Oracle STARS - Vehicles application. Maintains responsibility for all project/technical documentation and working with the Information Technology (IT) team to implement enhancements that correct issues encountered during vehicle order fulfillment.

Manages order fulfillment modules in the STARS application, such as Order Management, Install Base, and Pricing. Serves as the point person and liaison for matters relating to the Subaru Production Flexibility (SPF) system at Subaru of Indiana Automotive, Inc. (SIA) used by retailers and Subaru field staff. Provides leadership, strategic direction, and governance oversight for vehicle distribution standards, regulatory labeling compliance, fleet fulfillment support, and enterprise reporting functions to ensure operational accuracy, compliance, and business continuity.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serves as the Sales and Distribution Department subject matter expert (SME) for Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS)/STARS, ensuring system stability; issue resolution; and continuous improvement of vehicle ordering, sales, distribution, and drafting processes. Partners with Information Technology (IT) and technical teams to diagnose system issues and maintain business-critical functionality. (20%)
  • Oversees the end-to-end Oracle STARS Sales System and related EBS processes supporting more than 680,000 vehicles annually, ensuring accurate movement of Vehicle Order Numbers (VONs) and Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) through sales, accounting, retailer inventory, drafting, and Retail Delivery Report (RDR) processes by partnering with Subaru of America (SOA) Product Management and Subaru Corporation (SBR) each model year to secure vehicle model data and finalize carline model charts.   • Manages the Distribution Standards & Specifications Analyst’s execution of regulatory labeling, Manufacturer Certificate of Origin (MCO) processing, VIN management, fleet operations support, and reporting activities, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company requirements. (20%)
  • Leads annual Vehicle Item Management (VIM) model-year setup and vehicle load activities, ensuring accurate vehicle lineup, planning data, and purchase order configuration to support timely production ordering with SBR. (10%)
  • Guides, develops, and mentors a team of three (3) analysts and cross-functional team members by providing coaching, performance management, career development guidance, workload oversight, and leadership on departmental initiatives. Fosters continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and organizational readiness for future business and technology changes. (20%)
  • Serves as the primary business owner for vehicle accessory management processes in Oracle EBS supporting more than $400 million in annual accessory sales. Monitors accessory availability, temporary disallow processes, and bill of material validation, while coordinating with Accessories, Parts Pricing, Vehicle Accounting, Ports, and Port Processors. (10%)

Additional Responsibilities

  • Determines best practices with the purpose of constant improvement of systems. (5%)
  • Supports changes to the Subaru Monroney Label, to include identifying future government regulations and any risks that SOA may have re: compliance. Supports analysis of information from Marketing and Product Management to display and highlight Subaru’s industry-leading vehicle features and details. (5%)
  • Provides strategic leadership for Oracle EBS/STARS enhancements, integrations, and data management processes, including telematics administration, HA30 troubleshooting, Connected Vehicle Hub support, Corporate Vehicle Administration (CVA), Lemon Law transactions, and cross-functional system initiatives. Identifies business needs, leads projects, and implements process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and retailer support. (5%)
  • Establishes priorities, monitors performance metrics, and provides guidance on cross-functional initiatives, data integrity, process improvements, and stakeholder partnerships to support efficient vehicle distribution operations and business objectives. (5%)

Skills

  • Knowledge of and experience with Oracle Order Management Modules.
  • Ability to act with a high level of autonomy to solve issues that impact the operation of the Oracle applications by utilizing resources, researching, and implementing fixes, as well as gathering consensus from key stakeholders for decisions that have a large impact on the business or require a change in process.
  • Ability to communicate across all corporate levels within Subaru of America (SOA) and externally (from executive management to administrative staff at the Regions).
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills and customer relation/communication skills (verbal and written), as well as the ability to adapt to change.
  • Ability to effectively coach and mentor team that will motivate and drive results.
  • Effective analytical ability with strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of and experience with specific Oracle Order Management Modules including Install Base, Manufacturing, Pricing, and Quoting Preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Subarunet and Subaru Business Intelligence (SBI) Preferred.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: BA/ BS, 8–10 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 3–5 years of IT Management with direct reports.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Office Location: Camden, NJ apart of the Greater Philadelphia Area (Philly)

  • Hybrid Role: Hybrid Role - Remote work 2 days per week (after 90 days) [Wednesdays & Fridays]

COMPENSATION: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $94,800 - $135,400 / year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Additionally, this role is bonus-eligible, with a target bonus percentage that provides an opportunity to earn even more based on your performance. (Internal Job Grade: M1)
