Who We Are

WAYB never stops raising the bar on family products that are safer, healthier, and responsibly made. With thoughtful design and materials, we reinvent on-the-go gear to be better for families and the planet - way better. We carry out this mission by supporting and celebrating our people, from those who sew, to those who sell, and everyone in between. As one of Inc. Magazine’s Best Workplaces of 2022, we’re looking to add a new member to our growing family – join us!

About the Role

The Sales Operations Jr. Manager will be a key member of WAYB’s commercial team, helping build the operational foundation behind our growing wholesale business. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.

This role sits at the intersection of wholesale, DTC, operations, finance, and our retail partners. You’ll own the day-to-day execution of wholesale business, ensuring orders move seamlessly from purchase order through fulfillment and delivery while keeping our internal teams and retail partners aligned.

Beyond managing the details, you’ll help us build better systems and processes as we scale. We’re looking for someone who can bring structure to a fast-moving environment, anticipate issues before they become problems, and take ownership from start to finish.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the day-to-day operational flow of wholesale orders from purchase order through fulfillment, invoicing, and delivery.
  • Manage and maintain wholesale orders, customer information, pricing, and product data across NetSuite, Shopify B2B, EDI, Faire, and other relevant systems.
  • Monitor open orders, backorders, inventory availability, and shipment status, proactively identifying, escalating, and driving issues to resolution before they impact retail partners.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Finance, and warehouse partners to coordinate fulfillment, inventory allocation, shipping, returns, RMAs, and retailer compliance requirements.
  • Serve as the primary operational point of contact for wholesale accounts, partnering with the sales/account owner to manage order changes, tracking, fulfillment questions, retailer requirements, and other day-to-day operational needs.
  • Support new retailer onboarding, including account setup, EDI requirements, pricing, product information, routing guides, and other operational requirements.
  • Maintain accurate reporting and visibility into wholesale orders, shipments, inventory, sales, and account activity.
  • Coordinate samples, line sheets, product information, retailer assets, and other tools needed to support buyers, account launches, and seasonal selling.
  • Identify gaps and inefficiencies in wholesale processes and build better systems, documentation, and workflows as the business scales.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Wholesale, Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Product to keep priorities aligned, communicate issues early, and ensure a seamless experience for our retail partners.

Who You Are

  • You’re organized, resourceful, and naturally proactive. You notice the details, but you also understand the bigger picture.
  • You’re the person who sees an order sitting open and wants to know why. You follow up before someone has to ask. You keep stakeholders informed when something changes. And when a process isn’t working, you don’t just work around it every time. You look for a better way.
  • You’re comfortable in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change and there isn’t always a playbook. You can work independently, but you also know when to ask questions or pull in the right partner.
  • You take ownership and care about getting the details right because you understand that great wholesale relationships depend on great execution.

What You’ll Need

  • 3–5+ years of experience in wholesale operations, sales operations, account management, or a related function within consumer goods, retail, fashion, baby, or another product-based business.
  • Experience managing wholesale orders and purchase orders from receipt through fulfillment.
  • Experience working with retailers and understanding the operational requirements of wholesale accounts.
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills and comfort working with large amounts of data.
  • Experience with ERP, order management, EDI, and B2B platforms. NetSuite experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail without losing sight of deadlines and priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong follow-through and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organized in a fast-moving environment.
  • Comfort working cross-functionally and communicating with both internal teams and external partners.
  • A genuine interest in consumer products, retail, and building great customer experiences.
  • Undergraduate degree preferred.
  • Ability to work from our Salt Lake City office 4 days per week.
  • U.S. work authorization without sponsorship required.

What Success Looks Like

  • Wholesale orders move smoothly from PO to delivery with fewer surprises and fewer manual touchpoints.
  • Retail partners have confidence in our communication and execution.
  • Open orders, backorders, and operational issues are identified early and resolved quickly.
  • Inventory, order, and shipment information is accurate and easy for the team to access.
  • Retailer requirements and operational processes are documented and consistently followed, helping reduce avoidable chargebacks, deductions, and fulfillment issues.
  • You identify opportunities to improve systems and processes rather than simply maintaining the status quo.
  • The wholesale team has better visibility into what is happening across accounts, orders, inventory, and fulfillment.
  • You become a trusted owner of wholesale operations and an important part of WAYB’s next stage of growth.

About WAYB

WAYB’s mission is to raise the bar on kids’ products that are safer, healthier, and responsibly-made. Our founders bring their expertise making some of the world's best outdoor gear to the family travel and baby gear industry. We reinvent products to make them better for parents, kids, and the planet. Way better.

WAYB was started to help parents get out in the world, without compromising on beautiful design or sustainable materials. Our first product, the Pico travel car seat, was born when we noticed parents lugging bulky car seats through airports. By using innovative design and aerospace-grade aluminum, we created a super strong, ultralight travel seat that’s as easy on parents as it is on the earth.

For the WAYB team, it’s all about building a company that's led by core values, and creating a “COULD WE” culture that disrupts the status quo. Learn more about who we are at wayb.com
