We are currently looking for a passionate and commercially driven Sales Manager - Weddings & Social Events (Proactive) to join our Sales & Marketing team.
A little taste of your day-to-day
Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:
Proactively driving wedding and social events business through new client acquisition and account development.
Building strong relationships with destination wedding planners, event organisers, travel partners, and key industry stakeholders.
Identifying new business opportunities through sales calls, networking events, wedding exhibitions, and market research.
Conducting site inspections, presentations, and contract negotiations to convert enquiries into confirmed business.
Working closely with Catering & Events, Revenue, Reservations, and Operations teams to ensure seamless event planning and delivery.
Achieving revenue and production targets while maximising profitability across weddings, celebrations, and social events.
Representing the resort and the InterContinental brand at industry events, roadshows, and sales missions.
Maintaining accurate sales activity, forecasting, and account management within company systems.
What we need from you
Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Sales, Marketing, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 2 years' hotel sales experience within weddings, social events, banquets, or luxury hospitality.
Proven experience handling destination weddings and multi-day celebrations. Experience with the Indian wedding market will be a distinct advantage.
Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Commercially minded with a strong understanding of pricing, budgeting, and revenue management.
Experience using Opera PMS, Delphi, Cvent, and Microsoft Office.
A proactive, organised, and results-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Flexibility to travel for sales missions and work evenings, weekends, and public holidays when business requires.
