What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Sales Manager – Water & Lubricants who will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market share, and managing key customer relationships for the organization’s water treatment solutions and industrial/automotive lubricants portfolio. The role oversees strategy, sales execution, channel development, and technical support delivery to ensure revenue targets and customer satisfaction goals are met.

What do we expect from the candidate?

The candidate must deliver consistent sales growth, manage key relationships with customers, provide technical expertise and develop market strategy and market intelligence.

The key responsibilities:

  • Strategic Aptitude – expected to participate and determine the strategy for this portfolio and is expected to make a meaningful contribution in this regard.

  • Manage sales territories and customer base.

  • Formulate strategy for marketing of products and services.

  • Meet or exceed sales budget targets.

  • Identity needs of customers and develop product offering.

  • Provide market intelligence to management team.

  • Analyse sales reports and formulate strategies.

  • Visit satellite operations in Cape Town and Durban on occasion.

  • Interact and manage relationships with principles.

  • Stock management- actively manage stock levels and ensure that stock on hand is of an acceptable level. Planning of stock purchases must be done timeously.

  • Sales reporting – Submit sales report to Sales Executive on a monthly basis.

  • Proactively manage costing, margins management and price determination on a monthly basis.

  • Provide technical support.

  • Cold Calling.

If you possess…

Must-Have

  • Grade 12.

  • Tertiary qualification in Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry/Chemical engineering or related.

  • Strong communication skills

  • Attention to detail.

  • Excellent computer literacy skills.

  • 2 to 5 years relevant experience.

  • Good negotiation skills.

  • Energetic.

  • Leadership skills and the ability to delegate tasks.

  • Chemical industry knowledge.
