OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION

  • Segment: Cold forming (wire drawing, tube drawing, cold forging)
  • Region: APAC (mainly China, India and SEA)
  • Provide troubleshooting activities & support new line start-ups
  • Survey key/strategic accounts to provide continuous improvement suggestions and support


MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACTIVITIES

  • Provide technical support, virtual and on-site for regional key/strategic customers in the APAC region – focus on cold forming (wire & tube drawing; cold forging) (escalation function and back-up for local teams like tech. sales, TSS and Onsite if existing)
  • Handle trouble shooting onsite including lab simulations of field scenarios in collaboration with Application team
  • Support line audits
  • Provide product recommendation
  • Manage line starts especially for bath make-up calculation, initial parameter checks after, if necessary align with local teams on corrections/counter measures after first production
  • Manage technical trainings in close collaboration with customers and sales teams
  • Communicate with regional and global colleagues in English, being the link between local, regional and international colleagues
  • Prepare and share trouble shooting experiences and lessons learned regionally
  • Communicate technology gaps and opportunities to Regional Marketing Managers
  • Consult for layouting of new plants and plant optimization
  • Support and be back-up of Application team if necessary
  • Supporting sales and segments gaining new customer projects

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • At least Bachelor of Chemistry/engineering or related preferred
  • At least 5 years of working experience in surface treatment or related industry
  • Microsoft Office user skills (i.e. PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong in intercultural communication
