Job Description

The Sales Manager – Service Agreements & Business Development will be responsible for driving commercial growth in the Polish market with a strong focus on service agreements, long-term customer relationships, and account development. The role combines commercial customer management, sales support throughout the customer lifecycle, and business expansion into adjacent segments such as BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) and industrial customers.
This position is suited for a commercially driven professional who can manage and grow existing customer accounts while identifying and developing new business opportunities in Poland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a defined portfolio of customers in the Polish market, with a primary focus on service contract sales and renewals.
  • Act as the main commercial point of contact for customers throughout the lifecycle of service agreements, ensuring strong customer engagement and long-term relationship development.
  • Identify opportunities to expand the service business within the existing customer base and support overall account growth.
  • Develop new business opportunities beyond the current customer base, especially in the areas of BESS, industrial applications, and related service offerings.
  • Build and execute account plans and commercial strategies to support market growth, customer retention, and profitability.
  • Work closely with internal functions such as operations, service, tendering, engineering, and product teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Develop a solid understanding of market trends, competitor activities, customer needs, and commercial developments in Poland.
  • Use data, market intelligence, and commercial judgment to support decision-making, opportunity prioritization, and strategic recommendations.
  • Lead or support moderately complex sales processes, negotiations, and contract discussions.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of commercial strategy within the area of responsibility.
  • Serve as a trusted commercial partner to customers, helping them identify service solutions that improve asset performance, reliability, and long-term value.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration and act as a resource for less experienced colleagues when needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong experience in sales, account management, or business development, ideally in the energy, service, industrial, or infrastructure sector.
  • Good understanding of service business models, including long-term service agreements, customer relationship management, and commercial contract handling.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage customer relationships and develop business in a structured and proactive way.
  • Solid commercial acumen and the ability to analyze customer needs and translate them into value-driven solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Characteristics

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Polish.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence customers and internal stakeholders in a professional and credible manner.
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Experience in managing commercial opportunities, bids, or projects with moderate complexity.
  • Knowledge of the Polish energy market is a strong advantage.
  • Experience or exposure to BESS, service solutions, and/or industrial customer segments is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across functions.
  • Structured, results-oriented, and customer-focused mindset.
  • Willingness to travel (20%+)
