Job Category: Sales/FinanceHere at Ron Tonkin Toyota — one of Portland’s leading automotive dealerships — we are looking for an experienced, driven Sales Manager to join our leadership team. This is an in-person leadership role with the opportunity to oversee a high-volume sales floor, drive performance, and help continue the growth of one of the fastest-growing Toyota dealerships in the PNW.

Sales Manager Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily showroom sales operations
- Desk and structure deals to maximize gross profit and volume
- Train, coach, and develop Sales Consultants to improve closing ratios and performance
- Work closely with F&I to ensure smooth deal flow and profitability
- Monitor key performance metrics including units, gross, PVR, and closing percentages
- Maintain accountability around CRM usage and follow-up processes
- Ensure a strong customer experience from greeting to delivery
- Assist in hiring, onboarding, and performance management of sales staff
- Manage inventory turn and pricing strategy in coordination with senior leadership
- Drive a culture of urgency, professionalism, and continuous improvement
- Continue to grow the Sales Department through leadership, process, and performance
Sales Manager Compensation and Benefits
Compensation range: $100,000–$180,000, based on experience and performance

QualificationsSales Manager

Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of automotive Sales Manager experience in a high-volume dealership environment
- Proven track record of driving both volume and gross profit performance
- Strong desking and deal-structuring skills with the ability to maximize front-end gross while maintaining healthy turn rates
- Demonstrated success improving closing ratios, PVR, and overall team productivity
- Experience managing and developing a team of Sales Consultants with measurable performance results
- High proficiency with CRM systems and dealership reporting tools; ability to analyze data and implement strategy based on metrics
- Strong understanding of inventory management, aging strategy, and pricing alignment with market conditions
- Ability to work collaboratively with F&I to ensure seamless deal flow and backend profitability
Corporate Requirements: Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record, able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.

About Gee Automotive Companies

The Gee Automotive Companies began in 1983 when George Gee opened a Pontiac dealership in Spokane, Washington, which quickly became the largest in the state. In 1991, the company added GMC to its offerings, and in 2000, it relocated to new facilities in Liberty Lake, WA.

In 2003, Ryan Gee became President and CEO, building on his parents' legacy by expanding the company to include Buick, Porsche of Spokane, Kia in Spokane and Coeur d'Alene, and Cadillac in Coeur d'Alene. Ryan focused on cultivating talent within the organization, bringing on skilled managers such as Jeff Jackson, who became president in 2010 while Ryan remained as CEO and Dealer Principal.

Under Ryan's leadership, the company now operates 40 dealerships, including the recent additions of Honda World and Olympia Kia Subaru. Additionally, it manages a parts wholesale business, an automotive retail financing arm, an automotive wholesale operation, an off-site sale company, and two Allstate insurance agencies, employing over 2,500 team members focused on exceptional customer service across the Northwest.
