Job Description

How will you make a difference? Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be responsible for Platform Screen Door Business for South Korea entity, ranging from sales and business development, project management, engineering support and coordination for local Korean customers. You will serve as the primary liaison with local Korean customers, developing influential relationships at all levels of customer organizations and building strong partnerships to maintain trust and satisfaction.

Internally, you will engage directly with sales and field service team in local office and project team in our Sister Companies (Sisco). You will need to liaise with our Sisco to ensure the products suit the project requirement, communicate with customers on technical issues, maintain and develop customer relationship.

This role requires a highly capable sales individual with a good depth of experience in driving growth through a high level of activity. Experience in customer facing roles within high engineering value add products and systems is required and experience in the rail industry is highly desirable.

What will your typical day look like?

Sales & Business Development

  • Responsible for all round sales for door business;
  • Identify business development opportunities to achieve company’s sales target;
  • Promote Transit’s full range engineering solutions in both service and products;
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular engagement and business reviews;
  • Present technical and commercial sales briefings to customers.

Customer & Project Management

  • Oversee local project initiatives, ensure alignment with company goals;
  • Work closely with customer’s engineering, design, maintenance, project management and procurement team for explore new business opportunities;
  • Identify and manage customer technical requirements;
  • Act as the primary liaison between customers and the Shanghai SisCo team to facilitate technical and commercial coordination;
  • Support commissioning activities at customer’s factory;

Tendering & Commercial Support

  • Collaborate with the Sales and Field Service team in local office, and Shanghai SisCo team to prepare tender submissions, technical proposals, and commercial offers;
  • Coordination of Procurement Technical Specification (PTSs) and Clause By Clause (CBCs) for each door project with customer’s technical team and internal stakeholders;
  • Prepare Best And Final Offer (BAFO) with internal stakeholders and solve out all VOs with customers;

Project Execution & Delivery

  • Monitor delivery schedules of all doors projects to ensure timely execution.
  • Manage and track Non Conformity Report (NRCs) on a weekly basis and coordinate corrective actions;
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination among customers, suppliers, and internal teams throughout project execution.

Qualifications

What do we want to know about you?

  • Degree holder in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or other discipline;
  • 5-8 years of technical sales experience, preferably in rolling stock, building and construction, engineering or automotive industry;
  • Previous customer service or relationship management is advantageous;
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken Korean and English, experience in technical coordination using English is preferred;
  • Being familiar working in an international company in a similar sector, ideally in a matrix organization;
  • Able to work with cross-functional team to ensure customer satisfaction and project success;
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to adhere to defined project timelines;
  • Good team player, responsible, diplomatic, proactive and able to work independently under minimal supervision.
