Job Description
We are looking for a Sales Manager Peru to represent ArcelorMittal International and the ArcelorMittal Group in the Peruvian market. In this role, you will lead import sales activities, develop market opportunities, strengthen customer relationships, and work closely with the AMI network, Group Mills, trading partners, logistics and finance teams to support sustainable commercial growth.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced commercial professional with strong steel, trading, import/export and customer development experience to contribute to the long-term growth of ArcelorMittal International in Peru.
Your responsibilities
- Define and implement the import sales strategy and annual sales plan in coordination with the South Regional Manager, Country Manager, partners and trading teams.
- Identify and develop new market opportunities for ArcelorMittal products and trading business lines in Peru.
- Prospect and develop relationships with new customers, including end-users, service centers, mill depots and steel buyers.
- Analyze customer needs and develop opportunities with a focus on high-added-value solutions.
- Coordinate commercial offers with ArcelorMittal plants and/or trading teams, quote customers and support order entry through SAP and back-office platforms.
- Coordinate with LATAM domestic mill sales teams to avoid inter-group competition and ensure a consistent commercial approach.
- Work closely with Logistics to align customer pricing and mill purchase pricing, ensuring margin discipline.
- Coordinate with technical resources and CTS on specifications, technical protocols and quality claims.
- Consolidate forecasts by partner or trading supplier, based on customer consumption and market trends.
- Monitor market activity, including price and demand changes, and provide concise and timely reports.
- Build strong commercial relationships with key customers and market players to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term presence.
- Ensure all selling activities are conducted responsibly and in line with fair trade expectations.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in sales and marketing in a medium to large company.
- Experience with imports and/or exports is highly desired.
- Experience in the steel industry is highly desired.
- Experience in trading business is highly desired. ]
- Excellent oral and written communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI.
- SAP or similar ERP experience is a plus.
- Fluent Spanish and English.
