Job Description

Help shape the future of maritime resilience

Are you well connected in the maritime industry and motivated by building trusted relationships with some of Norway's most important maritime companies? Do you thrive on creating new business opportunities, navigating complex stakeholder environments, and helping customers solve strategic challenges?

At DNV Cyber, we are on an ambitious journey to become the most trusted expert in advancing critical infrastructure resilience through cybersecurity. As digitalization transforms the maritime sector, cyber resilience has become a business-critical priority for ship owners, operators, offshore companies, ports, and maritime technology providers.

We are looking for a commercially driven Sales Manager who understands both the maritime industry and the growing cyber risks facing connected vessels, fleet operations, OT environments, and shoreside infrastructure. You do not need to be a cybersecurity specialist, but you must be able to engage confidently in customer discussions around cyber risk, operational resilience, regulatory requirements, and digital transformation.

In this role, you will work at the intersection of DNV Cyber and Business Area Maritime, helping customers navigate an increasingly complex risk landscape while leveraging the strength of one of the world's most recognized and trusted brands in the maritime industry. DNV has a unique position as a leading classification society and trusted advisor to the global maritime sector, providing access to an exceptionally strong customer base and long-standing relationships across the maritime value chain.

The role in short

Your mission is to drive growth by developing new business opportunities and expanding strategic customer relationships across the maritime sector. You will represent the full breadth of DNV Cyber's cybersecurity portfolio, including advisory services, OT security, governance and compliance, cyber resilience, managed security services, and incident preparedness.

You will act as a bridge between Business Area Maritime and DNV Cyber, bringing customers a seamless "One DNV" experience. By combining DNV's unique maritime expertise with leading cybersecurity capabilities, you will help customers address some of their most critical business challenges related to digitalization, cyber resilience, regulatory compliance, and operational risk.

As a trusted advisor and strategic partner to some of Norway's most important maritime customers, you will build executive relationships and engage stakeholders ranging from technical and fleet management teams to CIOs, CISOs, CTOs, and senior executives. You will go beyond traditional sales, helping customers understand emerging cyber risks, anticipate future needs, and leverage the full strength of DNV's global expertise to strengthen resilience across their organizations.

While supported by marketing, inside sales, account teams, and a strong global sales community, success in this role requires the ability to independently originate, develop, and close business opportunities

What you bring
