Hulcher Services is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead and develop a team of Business Development Managers while growing strategic customer relationships throughout your assigned territory.
This is not just a sales position. We are looking for a proven sales leader who can coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing outside sales team while personally driving major business opportunities and expanding our presence within the railroad, industrial, environmental, and emergency response industries.

What You'll Do
As the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for both leading a team of Business Development Managers and expanding Hulcher's market share throughout your territory.
Sales Leadership

  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of Business Development Managers.
  • Establish sales goals, accountability, and performance expectations.
  • Conduct regular ride-alongs, coaching sessions, and sales strategy meetings.
  • Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and developing new sales professionals.
  • Mentor newly hired Business Development Managers throughout their first 18 months.
  • Drive sales culture focused on accountability, customer service, and profitable growth.

Business Development

  • Develop new business while growing existing customer relationships.
  • Prospect and close opportunities across multiple service lines.
  • Build relationships with railroad, industrial, environmental, construction, utility, and manufacturing customers.
  • Identify new markets and diversification opportunities.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline using Dynamics CRM.
  • Develop proposals, pricing strategies, bids, and customer presentations.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Estimating, and National Accounts to ensure successful project execution.
  • Meet customers in the field and at job sites to ensure satisfaction and identify additional opportunities.
  • Negotiate contracts and secure purchase orders.
  • Support strategic national account initiatives.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitors, and market opportunities.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of outside B2B sales experience
  • Previous experience leading, coaching, or managing an outside sales team
  • Experience selling industrial services rather than manufactured products
  • Proven success developing new business and growing existing accounts
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software

Preferred Experience

Experience selling into one or more of the following industries:

Travel:

  • Approximately 50% - 60% travel throughout Nebraska, Missouri, Iowa, Kansas and Colorado
  • Company vehicle provided
  • Some overnight travel required
  • Occasional extended hours supporting customer needs
