About Our Client

The Role: Sales Manager ( Industrial Chemicals )
The Sales Manager exists to lead and manage a sales team while developing effective strategies and setting targets. This role contributes to the business by driving growth and customer satisfaction through the oversight of daily sales and technician operations. The main focus areas include coaching representatives, analyzing performance data, and ensuring sales efforts align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar Sales Management position.
  • Recruit, hire, train, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives and technicians.
  • Develop and execute sales plans and strategies to meet business and regional goals.
  • Monitor individual sales rep activity and provide performance coaching and feedback.
  • Use data to forecast sales, manage budgets, and analyze performance for strategic improvements.
  • Oversee lead quality, conversion rates, and sales cycle length while improving sales force automation.
  • Manage and nurture customer relationships and oversee the sales process for key accounts.
  • Interpret market trends to adapt strategies and ensure a competitive edge.

About You

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar Sales Management position.
  • Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
  • Valid drivers license and own reliable vehicle.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong numerical skills.
  • Skilled in analyzing performance data and reporting to Senior Management.
  • Excellent selling, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Positive, self-motivated, patient, tactful, and diplomatic.
  • Ability to stay calm in stressful situations and respect confidentiality.
  • Ability to work accurately and systematically with attention to detail.
  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce is advantageous.
