Reports to: Managing Director GreenV Mexico

Build strong customer relationships and drive commercial growth in greenhouse technology

Are you a commercially driven Sales Manager with a strong affinity for technology, horticulture and complex project sales? Do you enjoy developing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities and turning technical solutions into successful commercial projects?

For GreenV Mexico, we are looking for a Sales Manager who will play a key role in the further commercial growth of our business in Mexico and, where strategically agreed, selected opportunities in Latin America.

Your role

As Sales Manager, you are responsible for developing new and existing accounts, building a qualified sales pipeline and converting opportunities into profitable orders. You act as the commercial owner of each opportunity and serve as an important link between customers, GreenV Mexico, Group Commercial, partner companies, Engineering, Project Management, Finance and other relevant disciplines.

This role combines market development, relationship management, technical-commercial understanding and disciplined sales governance. You do not take over detailed engineering, project execution or accounting activities; these remain with the responsible specialist teams.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and execute the commercial plan for GreenV Mexico in alignment with the Managing Director and the wider GreenV strategy.

  • Identify, qualify and pursue new business opportunities, strategic partnerships and target accounts in greenhouse technology, horticulture, irrigation, water treatment, agri-tech and related technical markets.

  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline aligned with annual order intake, revenue and margin objectives.

  • Develop trusted, long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers and act as their primary commercial contact during the sales phase.

  • Understand customer needs, budgets, timelines, decision criteria and project risks, and translate these into clear commercial and technical briefs.

  • Coordinate proposal preparation with relevant local and international teams, ensuring that quotations clearly define scope, assumptions, exclusions, responsibilities, delivery conditions and commercial terms.

  • Lead commercial negotiations and closing activities within the approved authority and escalation framework.

  • Protect target gross margin and overall project profitability during the sales phase.

  • Maintain accurate opportunity data in CRM and, where applicable, ERP systems, including stage, value, probability, expected close date, next actions and key risks.

  • Prepare reliable sales forecasts, pipeline reviews, commercial budgets and performance reports.

  • Ensure a complete and documented sales-to-project handover to the designated Project Manager or project-responsible person.

  • Work closely with Project Management, Engineering, Technical, Finance, Administration, Logistics, Import/Export, Marketing and Group Commercial teams.

Requirements

What you bring

You are a commercially strong professional with a serious interest in technical solutions and long-term customer development. You know how to manage complex opportunities, align different stakeholders and keep a sharp eye on margin, risk and customer value.

We are looking for someone with:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent higher professional education in Business Administration, Agricultural Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Horticulture, Commercial Management or a related field.

  • At least 5 years of relevant B2B commercial experience, preferably in greenhouse technology, horticulture, irrigation, water treatment, agricultural construction, industrial systems or technical project sales.

  • A proven track record in business development, acquisition, negotiation and closing complex technical or project-based sales.

  • Experience working with multidisciplinary and international teams.

  • Experience in key account management, partner development and regional commercial strategy.

  • Strong commercial judgment, negotiation skills and customer orientation.

  • The ability to translate customers’ needs integrated technical-commercial solutions.

  • Strong planning, organization, prioritization and stakeholder-management skills.

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to manage complex commercial discussions.

  • Professional working proficiency in Spanish and English; additional languages are an advantage.

  • Good knowledge of CRM systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

  • A high level of ownership, integrity, confidentiality, collaboration and decision-making capability.
