As our Sales Manager, Food Service, you are part of the Commercial Team and are responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of key customer accounts to achieve agreed-upon sales targets and build strong, long-lasting relationships.

This role involves utilizing high-impact relationship management skills to grow current key customer accounts and develop new customers, understand their needs and present tailored solutions.

About You

We’re recruiting a Sales Manager, Food Service reporting to the Director, Sales Greater China.

This is a varied role for a person who has a strong sense of urgency and has been in the food ingredient industry especially in the management of Food Services Channel Account. You will Lead a team of Sales & Account Management professionals in China and are accountable for meeting team targets, delegating work and managing resources within the team, including line management duties.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Collaborate with the team in developing Food Service Category’s sales strategies, plans and targets, and tailored sales strategies for assigned account portfolio, aligning with key customer goals and company objectives.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of key customer accounts of Food Service Category of the country, building and nurturing strong, long-term partnerships.
• Drive the execution of Sales & Account Management initiatives within the responsible area of the business, partnering with others within the Commercial team (Sales, Technical Services, CDP and Marketing) and in the GO team to achieve revenue targets, ensure seamless service delivery and high customer satisfaction.
• Recognize and pursue upselling potential within the assigned accounts, working with key customers to understand their evolving needs and propose customized solutions.
• Lead in crafting and negotiating proposals and contracts that achieve customer expectations and align with the business’s capabilities.
• Generate and analyze sales reports to monitor performance, identify trends, and provide insights for strategic decision-making.
• Ensures the team use and comply with appropriate sales processes (SFDC, CCP, FCST, DD, etc.)

Location

This role is assigned to be based in Xuhui District, Shanghai.

What You’ll have

• Minimum 10 years of working experience in food, chemicals, or industrial ingredients, with a proven track record in specialty ingredient sales management. Strong knowledge on dairy industry and applications, technical background is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or a related field. A combination of technical (Chemical/Food Science) and business education is preferred.
• Willing to explore new growth areas with resilience
• Have the track record for the successful experience in the new business development
• Strong business analytical skills to identify market trends, drive strategic decisions, and optimize sales performance, and solid experience at value added selling.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and cross-functionally, managing internal and external key stakeholder relationships and executing commercial strategies.
• Strong understanding of the policies, objectives, operations and related activities within a Sales & Account Management of the assigned Category. Specialist knowledge in the end-to-end sales process and broad knowledge of several related disciplines.
• Strong communication skills to persuade and influence assigned key accounts. The role needs to adapt styles, interpret and explain information to differing audiences from inside and outside the organization who are not familiar with the subject matter.
• Ability to collaborate with a team of Sales & Account Management professionals well, driving the team to meet targets.
• Good problem-solving skills for customer issues that can be complex or unusual requiring original thought, research, new approaches and analytical techniques.
• Proven ability to significantly influence the sub-regional and category outcomes through effective decision-making for assigned team.
