Responsibilities

  • Originate and develop new business opportunities by partnering closely with CIB Corporates Coverage and the wider Global Payments Solutions (GPS) sales teams. Co-create client engagement strategies to win new-to-bank mandates and grow HSBC’s cash management wallet share in Hong Kong and across Asia Pacific.
  • Lead high-quality client-facing engagements using a consultative, advisory approach to diagnose client needs, articulate value, and recommend fit-for-purpose cash management solutions
  • Demonstrate strong learning agility, rapidly building product knowledge across cash management capabilities and translating that knowledge into credible, client-ready conversations and proposals.
  • Coordinate effectively across markets and functions to structure solutions, align internal stakeholders, and deliver compelling, well-positioned sales proposals.
  • Maintain rigorous attention to detail throughout the sales cycle, ensuring accuracy and completeness of proposals, pricing inputs, documentation, approvals, and handover materials.
  • Gather and interpret market intelligence (including competitor activity, client requirements, and broader market trends) and provide actionable feedback to GPS Product teams to support product enhancement and development.
  • Build and manage a disciplined deal pipeline in collaboration with global and regional stakeholders, aligned with CIB Coverage priorities and sequenced by opportunity size, probability, and strategic value to the Group.
  • Deliver assigned financial and non-financial targets, with a focus on sustainable revenue outcomes and high-quality execution.
  • Partner closely with GPS Client Connectivity (Implementation and Integration) and Client Service teams to ensure a smooth transition from mandate to realised revenue, and to provide ongoing coverage as client needs evolve.
  • Advise Coverage teams on market trends, competitor landscape, and regulatory developments to help anticipate emerging client needs and identify new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other product partners (including Global Trade Solutions and Markets Securities and Services) to present holistic, client-centric solutions
  • Maintain accurate and timely sales records to enable effective tracking of sales performance, pipeline health, and sales quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or relevant disciplines
  • Experienced corporate banking relationship management
  • Knowledge of cash management products
  • Holder of Certificate in International Cash Management would be advantageous
  • Able to work under pressure with Key Performance Indicator
  • Ability to operate on a cross-regional and cross functional basis
  • Experienced in managing multiple countries and complex deals across regions
  • Highly motivated and achievement driven with an ability to formulate and articulate sales strategies
  • Well-developed communication, presentation, interpersonal, and influencing skills
  • Ability to cope with pressure in a fast growing and fast-moving environment
  • Proven ability to priority multitasks and manage multiple high priority and high-profile projects
  • Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills
  • Fluency in written and verbal English with Cantonese, Mandarin or other language speaking will be a plus
