1. Role Purpose
The Sales Manager – C&I and Residential Customers is responsible for developing sales opportunities and managing customer relationships in the Commercial & Industrial and Residential energy solutions segments.
The role focuses on promoting the company’s solar, energy storage, battery, smart energy, inverter, and related digital energy solutions to C&I customers, residential distributors, installers, developers, system integrators, and channel partners.
As part of a global mobile phone and smart technology group, the company is leveraging its strengths in consumer electronics, battery technology, smart devices, connectivity, IoT, software platforms, and global supply chain capabilities to expand into the smart energy and energy storage market.
2. Key Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development
Develop and execute sales plans for C&I and residential customer segments.
Identify and approach potential customers, including commercial building owners, factories, industrial parks, SMEs, residential developers, solar installers, distributors, dealers, and system integrators.
Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline for solar, energy storage, battery, inverter, and smart energy solutions.
Generate new leads through market visits, customer referrals, partner networks, trade shows, digital channels, and industry events.
Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting, customer engagement, solution introduction, quotation, negotiation, closing, and after-sales coordination.
Achieve assigned sales targets, revenue goals, and market expansion objectives.
Customer and Channel Management
Develop and maintain strong relationships with C&I customers, residential channel partners, installers, distributors, and developers.
Understand customer needs, electricity usage patterns, investment priorities, technical requirements, and purchasing processes.
Support channel partners in product positioning, sales activities, customer presentations, and quotation preparation.
Provide regular follow-up with customers and partners to drive conversion and customer satisfaction.
Maintain accurate customer records, account plans, sales activities, pipeline status, and opportunity updates.
Support partner onboarding, training, and performance tracking where applicable.
Product and Solution Promotion
Promote the company’s energy solutions portfolio, including:
Residential energy storage systems.
C&I energy storage systems.
Solar-related solutions.
Battery packs and battery systems.
Inverters and power conversion solutions.
Smart energy management platforms.
Monitoring and IoT-enabled energy solutions.
Deliver product presentations, solution briefings, and basic commercial proposals to customers and partners.
Work with technical teams to clarify product specifications, application scenarios, system configuration, and customer requirements.
Support product demonstrations, roadshows, workshops, and marketing events.
Collect customer feedback and market insights to improve product positioning and sales strategy.
Proposal, Pricing, and Contract Support
Prepare quotations, commercial proposals, product comparison materials, and sales documentation.
Coordinate with technical, product, finance, logistics, legal, and after-sales teams to ensure proposals are accurate and feasible.
Support price negotiation, contract review, payment terms, delivery schedules, and warranty discussions.
Follow up on purchase orders, delivery status, invoicing, payment collection, and customer documentation.
Identify commercial, delivery, or customer risks and escalate issues when needed.
Market Intelligence and Reporting
Monitor market trends in residential solar, C&I energy storage, distributed energy, electricity cost optimization, and green energy solutions.
Track competitor products, pricing, channel activities, customer preferences, and market demand.
Provide regular sales reports, pipeline updates, forecast reports, and market feedback to management.
Support local go-to-market strategy, channel development, and customer segmentation.
Identify emerging opportunities in factories, commercial buildings, industrial parks, residential projects, and installer networks.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with technical support, product, marketing, logistics, finance, legal, and after-sales teams to support customer requirements.
Coordinate with regional and global teams to align sales activities, product positioning, pricing, and market priorities.
Support marketing campaigns, product launches, training sessions, exhibitions, and industry events.
Ensure smooth communication between customers, partners, and internal teams throughout the sales and delivery process.
