Manages sales activities including supervision of contracts, direct sales, customer relations, vendor relations, and related financial performance. Supervises sales representatives and monitors sales in relation to goals. Prepares and delivers sales materials; attends exhibits and other promotional opportunities.

What you will do:

  • Fully contributes to the development of the Sales strategy, with particular emphasis on enhancing availability and visibility, in line with the strategic objectives of the Company;

  • Manages sales efforts, including activities of sales representatives, negotiation and sales functions, and monitoring of contracts;

  • Directs the flow of information for sales activities and transactions (leads, billings, orders and contracts) and evaluate data to ensure that goals are met;

  • Develops and supervises the preparation, issuance, and delivery of sales materials, exhibits, and promotion programs; prepares for and attends exhibits, conferences, meetings, and other local, regional, and national promotional opportunities;

  • Manages and monitors the performance of the sales team;

  • Sells to and maintains contact with major accounts; promotes positive relations with outlets, wholesalers, vendors, and other distributors;

  • Participates in the development of operating goals and objectives for the unit; recommends, implements, and administers methods and procedures to enhance operations;

  • Assists in the annual budget planning process and regularly monitors expenditures;

  • Analyzes and appraises the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs, and results; approves display content and costs for showings requested by sales representatives;

  • Responds to inquiries and researches and resolves problems related to transactions handled by the unit; serves as liaison with other constituencies in the resolution of day-to-day administrative and operational issues;

  • Maintains and monitors records and reports; maintains shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment functions to ensure timely customer services;

What you will bring:

  • Post Secondary education plus a minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) year related experience, including a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years progressive sales experience, preferably within the wholesale distribution industry, or the equivalent combination of education and experience;

  • Knowledge of Company product lines;

  • Knowledge of current and possible future policies, practices, trends and information affecting the organization;

  • Knowledgeable of the competition and aware of strategy and tactics;

  • Proven ability to prepare and deliver professional documents and presentations to all levels of an organization.

  • Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization;

  • Consistently meeting deadlines within a fast paced work environment and works effectively within time constraints;

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated success working in a team environment;

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
