Robeco’s BeLux Sales Team covers wholesale and institutional clients across Belgium and Luxembourg, operating closely with our Rotterdam headquarters. We combine strong links to our investment teams with the entrepreneurial freedom to develop the market locally. To strengthen the team, we’re hiring an experienced Sales Manager to deepen relationships and win new business, with a particular focus on the Belgian insurance broker segment.

Reporting line: Head of Wholesale BeLux. Base: Belgium or the Netherlands (Rotterdam HQ).

Position & Requirements

What you’ll do

  • Develop the BeLux market: execute the sales plan and drive commercial activity across Belgium and Luxembourg, collaborating closely with the BeLux Sales Team.
  • Focus on Belgian insurance brokers: build relationships with prospects, understand investment beliefs and needs, and convert opportunities into mandates or flows.
  • Shape opportunities with data: use market analysis and a data‑driven approach to identify opportunities and risks; translate insights into targeted actions.
  • Own your accounts: create clear account plans, track progress, and maintain a 360° view of interactions in CRM.
  • Strengthen existing relationships: help service an existing book of wholesale and institutional clients (private banks, wealth managers, independent AMs, insurers, family offices; pension funds and foundations).
  • Represent Robeco in the market: co‑organize and speak at local events, conferences, and panels.
  • Collaborate to deliver: work closely with Investment Specialists, Portfolio Management, Marketing, Client Servicing, and Legal & Compliance to deliver high‑quality client outcomes.
  • Stay current: understand financial markets, local dynamics, and relevant taxation/legislation to advise clients credibly.

What you bring

  • Experience: ~6–9 years in asset‑management sales or in client‑facing roles (e.g., Client PM / Investment Specialist) with proven commercial impact.
  • Market know‑how: strong understanding of financial institutions, the BeLux landscape, and local regulatory/tax context.
  • Commercial drive: proactive, structured, and comfortable owning a pipeline from prospecting to close.
  • Communication: excellent presentation and relationship‑building skills; collaborative team player.
  • Languages: professional fluency in French, Dutch, and English.
  • Mobility: willing to travel regularly to clients across BeLux.

Nice to have: Interest in sustainable investing; VBA or CFA designation (or willingness to pursue).
