Job Summary/ Key Responsibilities:

Renews, retains, and grows volumes from all segments of business, in the assigned territory / product line. Increases the value of current portfolio of customers via upselling and cross selling and attracts new customers.Arranges business interactions (e.g., meetings, calls) with current and prospective clients, to promote the company’s services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives. Discovers and understands the needs and requirements of the customers in own portfolio, puts in place an account plan according to the account potential, strategic value, and specific needs. Conducts research to identify new markets and customer needs. Identifies new business opportunities & qualifies opportunities.Develops a thorough understanding of the market, customers, and industry. Identifies and analyzes customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts.Builds and presents compelling proposals addressing customers and prospects’ needs and requests, in line with the company’s procedures and pricing guidelines. Negotiates and closes contracts.Properly and timely records the sales activity in the company’s systems.Operate within MSC regional budgetary guidelines.Accurately input and maintain data in the CRM and other systems to ensure reliable reporting and data integrity.Ensures a healthy sales pipeline, to support long-term sustainable growth.Builds accurate sales forecasts and reports. Adjusts the sales activities based on the status of the sales pipeline, the sales target, and the market indicators.Builds and strengthens long-term relationships with existing and new customers.Positions the company as a preferred transport partner.Aligns sales efforts with the commercial strategy through close collaboration with Trade, Marketing and Customer Service.Full‑time office presence is the standard expectation unless required off‑site duties are being performed.Performs other duties, as necessary.

This role requires working on-site in the office for five days a week, from Monday to Friday. There is no option for fully remote or hybrid work in this role, unless required off-site duties are being performed.

Qualifications & Key Competencies:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceMinimum 5 years of selling transportation services (preferably ocean transportation)Strong knowledge of the local market as well as industry trendsStrong knowledge of commercial and financial jargon of international tradeKnowledge of CRM softwareValid driver's license and favorable driving record.Analytical: AdvancedCommercially minded: FundamentalCommunication skills: AdvancedInternal customer orientation: AdvancedEmpathy: AdvancedLeadership: IntermediateOrganizational skills: ExpertTeam player: ExpertEnglish: ExpertMS Office (MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word) with the ability to learn other software: Expert Physical Demands Ability to drive and travel by plane to and from customer locationsAbility to get into and out of a vehicle several times dailyMay stand for extended periods while discussing with customersProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computerMust be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a timeFull‑time office presence is the standard expectation unless required off‑site duties are being performed Travel Requirements Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
