About the Client

Our client is a well-established international payments and acquiring provider that serves merchants across Europe and global markets. The company offers end-to-end infrastructure that enables online businesses to accept, process, and manage card and alternative payments securely and at scale. Their platform covers payment acquiring, issuer processing, BIN sponsorship, white-label card programs, fraud prevention, and advanced data tools. The client supports fintechs, PSPs, and digital merchants requiring reliability, regulatory alignment, and room to grow.

As a Sales Manager, you will focus on driving the growth of the company’s acquiring business by expanding the merchant portfolio. The role demands a highly independent sales professional with a deep understanding of the payments ecosystem, capable of leveraging an existing network of merchants and industry contacts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and develop a pipeline of merchants for card acquiring, focusing on low- and mid-risk segments such as e-commerce, digital business, and retail.

  • Leverage your existing network of merchants and decision-makers to generate new business opportunities.

  • Identify merchant needs and clearly present the company’s acquiring capabilities and competitive advantages.

  • Lead negotiations on pricing, processing terms, and onboarding conditions.

  • Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Operations to ensure smooth merchant approvals and launches.

  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences to expand partnerships and visibility.

  • Maintain accurate sales reporting and pipeline visibility.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of B2B sales experience in payments/acquiring.

  • Strong knowledge of merchant acquiring, transaction flows, chargebacks, and underwriting expectations.

  • An existing portfolio of merchant contacts is essential.

  • Ability to target suitable merchants and focus communication on the platform’s strengths.

  • Experience with European-licensed structures and cross-border merchants is a plus.
